To be honest If my dealership behaved this way Id have walked out after telling the GM where to stick it...

This is a surefire way to tank your gross profit & taint your relationship with Toyota Corporate...

Car sales is 30% lot ups/internet leads & 70% referrals & return customers... if you screw your customers they will not come back.. and they will tell anyone who will listen. (This thread is a great example)

The way our dealership was ran focused on the customer having all the available information to make an informed decision. No tricks, or slight of hand. Brent Brown(owner) would have stormed in and crucified any sales team operating with the tactics you outlined.

If you find yourself in a dealership & are being tricked, misled, pressured (hard sale) or all of the above walk out and go to a dealership that has a higher level of ethics.
