...^^^... For some reason ... it pains me more to see a damaged aircraft than a wrecked vehicle :( (not just the higher cost of repair either).

yeah. That particular one landed with a nose gear failure. Luckily it didn't damage the camera that was mounted on the belly estimated at 1.2m I believe

No tail number visible, but that looks like some of the undercover UC-12s I've seen. N389DD looks pretty damn close to this one. You can see the belly box showing in the bottom left pic.

    Currently based in Niger. :spy:

Yeah, that's a UC-12 all right. No markings low altitude/low threat Intel aircraft.

Didn't have my camera last week, but hangered at the little runway I use is a flying spitfire and the only flying super corsair (F2G) still left.
Didn't get to hear either one fire up, but I'm guessing they rock that little strip. Hopefully I can get a few pics soon.

Same guy that's building and flying these on the strip as well. Pretty neat to watch.

My son is on a MC-12, or contractor version (350ER) every day based out of Afghanistan. I wish he could get some pics of them there, but he's not allowed.

Even when parked they treat the area around those birds as a SCIF. No screwing around with these specialized little intel birds.

If you get the chance to do it just don’t be that guy who bitches and moans any time a helicopter is hovering near the runway about how hard your life is trying to land without having your freshly made coffee and donuts spill.

That’s a very well designed airplane. He has teamed up with the Walton family. I haven’t flown the GB, but I have a standing offer to fly it when I am in the area. However I have flown the XA42 which was the previous airplane that he designed. Also an excellent performer.

I am all too familiar with VBT and the toys there. It is quite fun to see those birds fly! New FBO is very nice.

I have a unhealthy attraction to Rip-Its after working in the Pentagon. Thank god they are super hard to find in Utah.

Dollar Tree carries the large cans for - wait for it - $1.

    You're welcome.

I know they do. That's why I avoid the dollar tree. But if they were at the grocery store...good lord. Those new Bang drinks are pretty good though.
