Pretty sure this was our first interaction, but maybe I’m wrong I have been on this forum for a while, ya know cause I actually own the trucks it’s made for.

Flushed out? Lol. Were you looking for them? I don’t doubt there’s like 1 or 2 people who hate the pro fundamentally. And I’m sure there are a handful of jealous types. But some (myself included) lost track of the point of the pro when there was nothing that couldn’t be bolted onto any 3rd gen, that was stronger/built to withstand more abuse, and for less money. The only thing that can’t be bought is the collectors novelty, which is huge and I appreciate, but that’s it.

I have the list somewhere of all of the upgrades I would do to the OR. Around $6500 in parts. And still not a PRO

    Shocks $3000
    https://www.trdusa.com/parts-detail.html?p=PTR61-35170&years=2017&models=Tacoma&categories=Performance Suspension/Chassis&subcategories=all

    PRO Wheels - $1000

    Exhaust - $400

    Skid Plate - $300

1 inch lift kit - unknown

    Tires - Upgrade $700, maybe

    Grill $200

    Rigid Front lights - $500

TRD - seats - $100 upgrade red stitching - estimate

    Shift Knob - $100

That is close except I had the Lift kit quoted for an OR that was same grade as the Trd Pro and it came in at $2,300 not installed. (local places guys don't scream at me) and the Trd Performance Exhaust was $500 not installed.

Actually, I cannot stand the PRO exhaust. It sounds like a stupid teenagers muffler with a hole in it and he thinks it's cool

Do you look cool because you have a Pro or do you look cool with a set of all terrian tires on your SR5 knowing you can go anywhere a Pro can go. That leather shift knob, cool fog lights and tail lights, leather and a cool sounding exhaust don't do shit for you off road. No Pro hater here at all, but damn it's a Toyota and they are all very capable off road. Give me a set of decent all terrian tires and 4wd and added locker and I'm good. No way in hell am I putting a new Tacoma in the mud or rock climbing. Get a vehicle designed for your uses. 18 pages of get this or get that. Damn get what you want and the hell with what everyone else thinks.

When I said stronger/better, that meant NOT oem Fox shocks. Serviceable is key, with easily found rebuild kits. And nobody is buying the oem pro skid plate for actual undercarriage protection. It isn’t the notion of replicating a pro in order to have a pro. It’s that if a person requires performance/strength upgrades like the pro suggests (it doesn’t in actuality) a person could build a “better” version for less. But yes, still not a pro... But when veiwed from the perspective of actual real world performance, that’s irrelevant.

    Unless you require the novelty.
