    Well, you know...jeeps.
you can’t truly fall in love with something unless you’ve fuckin lived with it. Vehicles and girlfriends. So I would have to say Wranglers are easy to WANT to fall in love with, until you’ve made the mistake of hooking up with one, now you’re stuck.

Brilliant. I share the sentiment- if you’re not a Toyota pickup enthusiast, why are you even here. #wellbye

At one time they did. But I maintain that’s because they were a cheaper choice, as back then spending money on a truck was tarded, because it’s a “tool”, and a lot of people though they WANTED a Tacoma, couldn’t justify the cost. Add that to insane fleet sales, and the mediocre ranger sold well.

The thing you will never get with rangers are the random gas pump visitations from the fans. Every other fuel up I’m approched by someone who either has a Tacoma or wants to reminisce about the Toyota pickups of the past. For a ranger?!?! Not a fuckin chance.

Data if one looks at every downtrend in the economy Tacoma sales have fallen. The Tacoma does not have immunity.

    I meant 12/31/2020.

    We can have two bets.

12/31/2019. Ranger exceeds 50% Of Tacoma sales for $30.

12/31/2020. Ranger exceeds Tacoma in sales (this time $30)

People aren't going to like it, but the Ranger is going to decimate Tacoma sales for a one reason. There's a lot of government fleets that are still running old Rangers or have junked their old Rangers. Don't forget the government likes to buy American when ever it can. Ford is fighting for it's survival at this point and will like start cutting fleet managers sweet heart deals. Ford wishes at this point that they just filed BK ten years ago instead of taking the high road.

This isn’t very specific. On the 2019 date, are you referring to the previous month or all months in 2019? They launch in January 2019 I think so only 11 months will be available on 12/31/19.

Same questions for 2020. You need to move the date a few weeks if you want a full year of sales.

Anyone betting real money before six months into launch is nuts.

I haven't seen any govt fleets with old rangers anywhere. "fleets" have been upgraded with Tacomas, GM's duo, nissans, etc for quite some time.
Your govt fleet blanket statement holds no water. Same crap people were saying when GM came out with their losers.
Like I've stated previously, I hope the Ranger does well but with it's limited option setup, it seems as though Ford is testing the waters by simply just making a currently built vehicle available in the US. My guess is it will get killed by the Tacoma but we'll see.

With all the issues the 3rd gen Tacoma has, believe me the Ranger will have its own issues off the line. Tacoma will still be on top.Toyota never discontinued the Tacoma can't say so much for Ford and the Ranger.

    There's 2 bets, one for 2019, one for 2020.
1st bet- Tacoma doubles Ranger sales in 2019.
2nd bet- Tacoma vs Ranger for the most sales in 2020.
