MY Light (the one with the tire tread and the (i) over it just came on and not sure what I need to do to troubleshoot and turn it off. Checked my ODB codes and they are all clear. Pushed the button under the steering column and that made it blink, its now back solid. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That's your low tire pressure sensor, not traction control. Check your tire pressures (don't forget spare).

So what does the switch under the steering column do, reset the pressure reading in the computer once I get my pressures where I want them? I guess there must be a section in my manual but I didn't see it. I will check all pressures when I get home and go from there.

thanks again to all for showing me how DUMB this old guy can be

Yea, ideally unless you changed something (new different size tires, running a new pressure, ect) you shouldn't have to push the reset (have to hold it in about 3 seconds to make the change).

Once I even checked all the pressures, everything seemed fine... and discount tire found a nail in one. I'm not exactly sure how when I checked the tires it showed ok and the sensor found it but... it worked somehow lol. Dramatic temp changes can cause it too if you're riding the threshold of it's allowable pressure range to not trip the light.

    None yet! It's new!
    RTFM

Not exactly sure how someone could "miss" it in the manual if you look for the meaning of the light.... :)
