Since when? For 2017 it was 13k and 2018 was closer to 15k more if I remember correctly

I don't think you can buy the Toyota warranty or the reliability.

Warranty for what, the shocks? You don’t think Fox’s other shocks can last 36k miles like the pros are covered for?

You have to look at shocks like a consumable if you use these as off road toys/off road utility vehicles. I can’t see Toyota replacing oem fox shocks due to blown seals... maybe it’s happened. I don’t know. I doubt it though. So if you rebuild your own aftermarket fox shocks that are out the box already more durable than the production shocks you could consider that an upgrade.

I'm sure they can. I'm also sure I can go to the nearest Toyota dealer and get mine replaced under warranty if they fail, while someone with Fox's other shocks will have to deal with the return, downtime, etc.

I’m not talking shit on the pro or pro owners. My gripe is with Toyota. With the prices they knew would be commanded, they could have at least made the pro something special. For example- I should not be able to get stronger/better components and surpass the pro with less than the difference in a pro vs sr. They could have added boxed in/gusseted shock towers. Boxed in frame. Different freakin part numbers for the upper and lower control arms because pro components are tubular for crying out loud. Something.

If that were the case, I would have had one for years now.

    This.
There was a thread a while ago comparing f150 and Raptor .
But it is a significant difference performance wise for Ford .

Where Toyota it's barely even a difference for suspension and everything else is cosmetic.

I wanted a fully loaded '19 OR.. it was around 40.7k -- I found an '18 Pro for 42k, one state away, which seemed like a no brainer to me!

    Like, so many.
    Sliders would have been nice.
32 inch, more aggressive tires should be a given.
Colors that don’t trickle down to lower trims should also be a no brainer.

That price was close to, if not an MSRP. I bought a fully load OR, MSRP $41170 for $36700. Nevertheless $42k sound like a very decent deal for the PRO, congrats and enjoy!

Haha a brand new pro could be offered to me in a straight up trade and I'd have to try hard not to laugh in their face. Not everyone cares for the Pro. Nothing against people who do. People buy trucks for different reasons . As long as the owner is happy who cares.

My favorite is the people who feel they have to desperately defend the PRO. Its an offroad with moderately good suspension, leather seats, a "performance" exhaust, Rigid fogs, and a 1 year exclusive color. If you want to spend $6k more on it just do it.

Right . No one cares is my view. It's a nice truck. If you want a nice truck that rides great and you dont mind spending the money then it's awesome. Zero judgement

Add 400lbs to it or want more lift and you're screwed.

For the cost of the lights alone exceeds my bed rack, tent, KCs, and prinsu

I agree, the PRO "should" have been so much more. And they could have for so little $$ more. But, I guess they did not want to overbuild because no one would buy or they did not want to maintain the parts bin for it. But they could have at least given it a 2 inch lift over the OR so bigger tires would have been the norm. I am a little disappointed in that respect.
