    Yes. I did the course thru the local college. Cheaper than anything else around (especially the HD dealers). Max of 5 in the class (that may vary.) Did the book portion online. Friday eve classroom (mostly for paperwork and 5-10 Q & A session.) 5 hours Riding Saturday morning. 5 hours Sunday morning. Done. Business card sized paper that says I passed and over the 650 threshold. Still have to take the written test at the DL office, but not the road test.

    The minute I got my cert, I'd end up with that KLR you posted, and then a shitload of BD lights, etc for it. Gotta make my trip up to the arctic ocean in July and buy a house before I can think about a bike.

    Bikes are spendy hobby...trust me I know :spending:. Luckily I'm at the point where I've done pretty much everything I can to my current ride :bikewheelie2:.

    @Gunshot-6A...Do you know how to adjust ride height on Kings coilovers while they are already mounted on the truck?

    @BOMBS Sure do. Undo the hex head set key on the collar, then take a metal rod, stick in the holes around the top collar and pull clockwise to raise it. I have the rod if you need it, or a centerpunch or a screwdriver can do in a pinch.

    You join the cool kids club?

    See the holes and the set screw on the blue collar by the spring? VVV

    @Cuffs @Technique
    I have been riding for 23 years. Here is my current motorcycle. I have had it all, Dirt, Sportbike, Cruiser, Bobber, Naked. This is a Sport touring (emphasis on the sport) Ninja 1000.
    I ride year round as long as it is above 40 degrees & dry. 20180919_164019.jpg 20180410_174311.jpg 20180617_161422.jpg 20180620_152531.jpg

    Cool kids club?...hahaha! I guess so.

    I understand the using the center punch tool and loosening the hex head set screw, but should I worry if the shock body turns/moves when the collar is being turn?

    It shouldn't. I'd loosen the collar a little more if that's the case.

    Can't do anything tonight. I need a floor jack and a bigger garage to make the ride height adjustment.

    Just so you all know concerning the motorcycle endorsement, at least in my experience they don't check the CC of the bike. When I took mine they just asked me what CC it was and took my word for it. So assuming you get someone out there that doesn't know a thing about bikes (which is very likely) and the badges don't completely give you away, you could probably test out on any size bike and get by. Not saying that's the right thing to do but...the test is already enough of a joke so...

    I did mine with it weighted in the driveway. It takes a little effort, but not too bad.
