My buddy bought a plot of land with a dumpy manufactured home worth nothing on it. They lived in that while they built their home. Something to consider since a property like this might not pop up in your searches if you look for bare land.

We really wanted a nice house on acreage but missed that 2012-14 window when things were still relatively cheap. Now it's too expensive, especially up here in whatcom county where Canadians are buying everything cash offer after being made millionaires by Chinese drug money laundering just across the border.

I'm not well versed in the workings of property tax, but the way this state is going and property taxes keep climbing im not all that dissapointed we didn't get a lot of land. It's sad seeing old retirees being taxed out of their family homesteads.

I'm in MV. Ridiculous enough that taxes on my two bedroom are 275k. Seattle prices are finally dropping, hopefully that eases some of the pressure north

Cock sucking serpentine belt frayed and wadded up behind the crank pully. Toasted the crank seal. SOB FML. It was supprisingly easy to replace. Good to go again.

Good thing I hadnt put the main skid plate back on yet.

Thankfully it was a pretty small area hit. Just sucks it was also along one of the major roads in town so traffic was a nightmare getting home.

Finding bare land more than likely wont be an issue for us. We arent planning to be near any sort of major city.

That's funny. My secret Santa actually got me a sink already. A collapsing wash tub for camping.

The big nuts on the drains are cross threaded, and I'm gonna have to cut them to re putty.

Most things that race. I run a little bracket car on weekends at Bremerton if I’m not working on a hydroplane, off road rigs, hotrods, or the occasional bike. Looking hard at a KTM 1290R right now but I’m not in the best shape to use it very hard. Shoving a my backup race engine into a street driven Nova this Saturday for fun. 600 hp tire shredder!

Whats crazy is pretty much every house in that area is a coworkers house. Not directly a coworker but pretty much every house, in my office of like 10 people, we knew most of them. One of my supervisors has a house that got hit and had a 2x4 get "speared" through their wall like a foot above their bed.

That red house though....makes me wonder if the builder might have skimped one a few things and how it would have passed code >.>

Hope all were okay and that any damage that may have occurred is covered. Would NOT want to experience or come home to that.

There were no official injuries reported that Ive heard of. Nothing life threatening or serious at least. Thankfully a lot of the homes (and people) in the area were at work.

As for being covered...i would bet insurance steps ups and covers it since it is actually a pretty small area.

The people are being taken care of. Pretty much if you were in the area, you are eating out for free anywhere no questions asked and the motels/hotels are providing free shelter for a few days. For those who need it at least.

It seems like half of Port Orchard is itching to help clean up as well. Tons of people are at least talking the talk that if the public is let in they will come help to clean up and get homes and stuff protected. Alot of companies have offered dump trucks, trailers, ect for free.
