According to all my research and the AZBDR website it says trucks can make it easily except for one spot where there is a huge boulder in the road....tacos and jeeps can make it but a no go for full size trucks. I have acutally seen footage and pics of tacos making it, so I personally have no worries...besides, a little sledge time would be nice! I hit that rock for hours! Ha!

This trail consists mostly of green and blue runs and dont aniticipate any "bad" rock gardens or anything to extreme. That being said, have sparesof everything- live by the rule- 1 is none, 2 is 1!!!

As to where to meet...I was thinking one spot up here for the Valley guys, and then meet at either the last gas stop or the designated start point of the AZBDR for the Tucson guys; which is Valley View Elementary school- see address below:

    Valley View Elementary School
    6849 AZ-92
    Hereford, AZ 85615
    View on Google

Obviously I am SOLID on the dates chosen! Haha!

As a courtesy to everyone, lets just make sure we are all on the same page in regards to......

You should have EVERYTHING YOU need to bring with you! Be self reliant as much as you can!

    Be prepared for ALL emergencies!

Your vehicle should be checked over before the trip! Make sure to button up any lingering issues, as dirt roads for 750 miles will probably make those little things a tad worse.

There is group edicate! If you have never been in a group...just follow along! Even though we are ultimately responsible for ourselves, as a group we will need to make sure we are all watching out for each other! If you dont work well with other kids, being in a group might not be your thang!

    Cant wait!

I'd like to go but that's my kids birthday on the 24th. So I probably won't be able to make it. Unless the birthday plans change or they want to go.

My Uniden pro520 xl will be installed by then. I also have 20 mile Motorolas from Costco that work great.

Just so its known we do not for any reason have to use the dates I suggested. Really I am available any days after the new year, especially for just the couple days this run will be. If Feb 22-25th doesn't work for the majority I am absolutely ok with another weekend/ weekday combo:D

I won't have a PTO refresh by February, so I won't be able to make the trip that early in the year.

I hope you all have fun though! Excited to see the pictures/updates.

@Carter'sTaco in doing your research did you come across anything suggesting a maximum group/# of vehicles?

Very interested. I'll have to confirm if those dates will work first, but I've always planned on doing the AZBDR so why not knock out half of it on this!

Thank you, they are limb savers. Helps to keep branches out of the windshield.

I did not. However I do know of groups of 12+ in motorcycles. So you could see every 2 bikes as 1 vehicle.
