I don’t have access to a machine to do it myself anymore, but I know one guy I’d trust to do it. Just depends on how much it needs. You think this would be a “must” for the wheel and tire combo, or are we speaking hypothetically?

Well usually as you push the wheels out and incese diameter the likelihood of rubbing the cab mount and cab increases You have less chance of rubbing the cab mount with the wheels tucked in but more chance to rub the frame. You'll need to measure and find the backspacing sweet spot. I know on my 1st gen it was 3.75" back spacing on an 8" wide wheel that let me clear 33s and still have good caster and only have to trim the bash the pinch weld over in one spot.

I know there’s a mathematical way to figure out the correct backspace given the size I’m after. There’s a guy on here I saw that had some serious knowledge on equations, maybe he’ll throw in something here. With this current suspension idea, I’m realistic in knowing I’m not getting a 35” in there without a cmc. This is going to be a good time.

    Hmm...
I just downloaded on my phone.
Data download wouldn't work, but WiFi did.
    Bad WiFi connection, maybe?

Do you know a general math equation relative to wheel size vs backspacing that can be applied to different sizes of wheels, while also including an equation to determine the correct tire size? 3rd gen specific. This would be valuable to everyone and would be an amazing tool to have.

1a. Cars are not an investment.
1b. Cars are a means to an end.
    2. Build and learn.
    3. Build what you want.
    4. Are you really going to reverse any mods?

Build to enjoy experiences. I honestly admire builds like these:

100% Reversible. Ome 885 coils on their nitro charger shocks, 3 leaf progressive add a leaf. 275/70r17 Bfg k02s on the 4runner pro wheels. Gave me about 1-3/4" lift.

Vehicles are an investment for me as I keep them long term. As for mods, they get replaced when they wear out, so yes I will replace them in time.

I was just looking into the 4Runner wheels this morning. As for the OME, I’ve been researching them and those coils for a couple of days here. I’m looking for a reputable place to buy them, but I’ve seen some on Adventuron but the reviews for them are for other products all together. An example for a review on there page in regards to the OME Kit was a guy talking about his bike was great. If they botch shit like that, I don’t have much faith in the company, so I’m looking for others. Your setup looks excellent by the way.

It would be amazing but unfortunately, impossible to derive. The biggest hurdle would be tolerances.
You see, even though we all drive Tacomas, they are all different and have different dimensions. Sure, they are close, but there is a reason that there is adjustability and a range for wheel alignment. You see, when the vehicle is being manufactured there are tolerances to each part. Not much for each individual part but as you put the parts together, your tolerances start to stack up. What this means with respect to your application is, my truck's caster could be set exactly the same (doubtful though) as your truck is, but your tire clearance to the mud flap could be a 1/16" closer than mine, all do to stack up tolerances.
In addition, even though a tire is a 265/65/17 for example, that does not guarantee an exact size. Believe it or not that specific tire can be a half inch larger or smaller, depending on manufacturer and tire type.

So between the tolerances of the vehicle and the tolerances of tires, there is no "unified equation" lol.

Still not an investment. You aren't making any money buying a new truck.

It is a means to an end.... like getting to work so you can make money.... or going on trips.

Thank you. And I did everything from @Headstrong offroad. Dealt with her a couple times as I changed the springs out to the 888's recently and have nothing but good things to say about them. Excellent service, fast delivery and very knowledgeable. Tell her what you are looking to do and she will give you ideas. The 4runner wheels work great. They push everything out just a little bit and I know have 285's and still clear without trimming or cutting anything. Now in a hard core off road situation they may rub. But with the minor stuff that I do I have yet to rub.
