I have a 2014 TRD. Had a leveling kit put on. I don't know if it's related but I notice a droning sound from the front end (seems like passengers side) at 35-45 mph but the worst at 40mph. Also a shudder at initial acceleration. It's constant every time, hot or cold. Even when de-accelerating, at the 40 mph range, I can hear/feel it.

Brought it back to the shop and they can't visually see anything wrong. They did reference me to a service bulletin (TSB 008-14 REV1) but it's fairly involved.

Have any of you had this occurrence happen and what was the fix? Thanks.

See if the vibe/drone goes away at 40 when you switch to 4hi.

If the vibe goes away in 4hi then you need to do the ECGS bushing replacement.

I put it in 4HI and the drone went away. It looks like that bushing is only for the drivers side and there's a bearing on the passenger side. Is that something that needs replacement also or just the bushing?

Just the bushing on the driver's side. ECGS makes a tool as well that makes it easy to remove. Check with your local Tacomaworld guys as one of them might have that tool since it's expensive.
