Houston area (along with DB's not from Houston) BS thread

One of our estimators didn't show up for work this week so we've been scrambling to go through all 17 of his job files as well as handle the people he wrote estimates for coming back in and get everything in ship shape. Been a busy few days.

 

Man I saw so many 1st gen tundras around the area today. I wish there was a way to show them all my bumper for sale.

 

There's one down the road a bit that I can see has an aftermarket hitch. I should just talk to em and try to swap hitches

Was thinking about that too, it could work!

 

I bought some stuff for an old f150 because someone did that and left it under my wiper.

 

You could also print a flyer and laminate it and stick it on your truck so people who see you see the for sale flyer.

 

Well, going to take my first cross country trip with the taco to WV. What mileage have you guys gotten on longer drives?

Depends on your speed, road conditions, and the wind direction. Best I’ve gotten has been 22 (dc, v6, auto, stockish tires), but as long as I keep it to about 70, 20 mpg is about avg.

 

You don’t count. 10 is good when you are driving on one flat tire.

Visiting my wife's parents/family for the holidays.

It's always nice to find time to see some of the crew.

Just tough sometimes, but hope to make it happen!

 

holidays in HTX will probably be nice. enjoy the time with family and friends. fingers crossed for not a lot of traffic for you on your journey. Thats the worst part about travelling during hte holidays IMO.
