    Dude, why are you talking shit? You know that with the previous revisions the calibration ID would stay the same, even OVtune would say that there was no need to flash back when taking the truck to the dealership, now he changed the calibration ID and he's recommending that we flash back before going to the dealership, I just wonder why he's doing it differently now with 1.05, what's wrong with asking?

    The reason is because we have custom patched the ROM, as a result the code and tables are significantly different, so we want to designate it this way.

    Because flashing a custom tune doesn’t “void your warranties”.

    What warranties? My wiper motors? That warranty is voided because I did something to the ECU?

    And even if the reference is only to the motor; the onus is on Toyota to prove that the tune caused the failure. They’d have a very hard time doing that, seeing as how Mat has data to back up the fact that his work is actually making this engine a more reliable one.

    @OVTune

    Color me confused,is this revision for 93 octane only,or will there be versions for 91 and 87 as well?

    Mat has said that there will still be 87, 91, 93 and other versions.

    Maybe I just don't know what to listen/look for, but I've been running 87 as much as possible since I bought the truck, and with or without tune I've never heard or felt anything other than just the standard piss poor performance. And honestly, I haven't noticed a difference between 1.04 87 vs 91. Like I said though, could just be me. I look forward to trying the various 1.05 options to see if I can find something I like.

    If 92 octane is what is available in my area, would you run the 91 or 93 tune? Curious.

    Anyone got a concensus on running the 93 tune on 91 for us high altitude folks since 93 at sea level becomes the equivalent of 91 at 5300+ feet? Just wondering if ECU would retard on the 93 tune in Denver.

    I have same type of question.
    I am at 7000 ft ele. should I run the 91 tune and use 87, run the 93 tune and use 91, or 91 tune and use 91?

    Not just you , we (buddy and me ) felt and feel the same . I know what the pinging sounds like from old school and it makes one let off the skinny pedal . The difference with the tune was better mpg's. with 1.04 and less so with 1.04R . Really looking forward to 1.05 .
    Side note , if the truck ever goes into limp mode , or will not start , will we still be able to flash back to stock on the side of the road before going to the dealer ? :crapstorm: @OVTune

    I would not run 85 on the 91 tune since that is equivalent to regular grade. Not sure on 87 grade at 5-7K. I only run the 91 tune with 91 as it was listed as the premium tune but wondering about the 93 tune since 93 at sea level is supposed to be equivalent to 91 above 5300 feet. Just got me thinking since there is now an option for the 93 tune

    I've seen on U-Tube, a Taco on OVTune 1.05....."gear locking". When in ECT and "S" mode it holds gear without dropping. Has this been released? I'm very curious, this would be a done deal for me...:)
