Totally forgot that altitude apparently makes a difference with octanes, 99% of my experience with this truck is 6,000-9,000 feet

It's going to be an option for 1.05, not standard to the tune. 1.05 is supposed to release before Christmas

Regarding the handhelds... I've seen it asked several times with no reply from @OVTune , so I was just hoping to get an answer. For those of us who have already ordered the handhelds, are those being sent once 1.05 is released or is there some type of delay due to a third part vendor?

Same here. I’ve emailed Mat about this a couple times and haven’t got a response. I was just looking for an update. Last I saw he posted that he was still pinging Alientech and they were actively working on it. Since I’m a preorder handheld my self I suppose we will be waiting until next year.

Okay... But please clarify what you mean by "Stock".
I'm currently running v1.03(91). For me "stock" is the original 04B02 version that I saved, which came from the factory in my Tacoma delivered in Jan 2017.
Is it safe to flash back to that version from v1.05?

Is the hand held a option to a lap top?

Flashing back to stock is flashing back to one of the OEM calibrations.

Come on man, you can't tell me you've never heard stories of of stealerships screwing customers because of insignificant mods. Also, I've been here since 1.02, probably over a year, watching how this thread gets treated as a "BS" thread, posting memes and what not, and no one bats an eye, then I come and ask a relevant and valid question (must be since ovtune replied), and I get flak for it? Really?

Are you guys going to revert back to stock before all scheduled maintenance or just service visits?

    I assume yes @OVTune ?

Since previous version cannot be detected by Toyota. I wouldn't want to revert back to stock non tune file even just for a day.

There's all kinds of stories but I think honestly, most dealerships aren't even going to look. They would need a reason to hook up tech stream. I had a battle with them to get the original TSB on my 2016 automatic and didn't bother going for my 2017, I did it myself.

Its more of a CYA for the customer (us) than anything. The less things you give the dealer to question, the better.

I had Toyota do the services for my 2 year Toyota care (10k and 20k oil change) and beyond that I've done them all myself aside from one oil change I think. If you are having a major service I'd flash back if you are concerned, oil changes and sunshine treatments I wouldn't bother personally.

I personally don’t respond to the dick jokes because that’s just adding to the convoluting of the thread. Those folks end up on my ignore list. But when a claim of “void the warranty” is just thrown out for no reason, I like to give my two cents.

We all knew the “risks” involved in purchasing and flashing this tune.
