They make you re-take the emissions test after changing out emissions related equipment? I didn't have to do that when I got my cats replaced, although I had a smog test coming up a couple months after that happened anyway

Yeah, someone has to verify that you pass now. I actually didn't think these cats would pass at all and was prepared to put in another bigger one after them but they passed and I got to keep my high flow exhaust.

It looks like any lift at all is illegal in New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Several other states have a limit of 2" above stock. Looks like my truck, with a simple OME suspension, is not legal in at least eight states. Good thing I don't go to any of those states.

Yeah I agree, if there is something bad, then use it. But milking it is just low life move.

    Wow.

Mine are going down. A lot. But I also don't do full insurance. Not worth it for my vehicles.

    Jesus. Didn't know that.

    WOW haha

I paid $295 or something for 6 months for ALL 3 TACOMAS hahaha

But that is just liability. I don't do full coverage. I don't see the point on trucks as old and as customized as mine. Easily replaced at this point really.

    Good to hear.

You're gonna hate me again. Cost 80ish buck a year to do my single cab and 110? Maybe? For Igor.

Oh..but I can do lifetime registration for 180 bucks and never have to pay again. Which now with my promotion. Im going to do this next year.

just further proof I need to get out of this state, lol. It's only saving grace is the plentiful wheeling opportunities and scenery outside of the major metropolitan areas, but that can be had in many other parts of this country as well, without all the BS.

My state only cares about car bumper height. It's a good thing too cause I don't care to see this in real life

yeah some cool things in Cali.

Just not the expenses..over regulations..overly dense population..

But. Not a lot of places like that anymore it seems. The world is only getting smaller and smaller, not bigger and bigger.

Na it's still Binford, they just outsource a lot. The warranty is still the best.
Yep, the boys strong objections meant they pretty much had to go their own directions since Mr Binford passed and outsourcing became the norm. Sad to see Al reduced to infomercials.

I read that California is trying to tax text messages! Whole new level of getting something for nothing.

well, technically they want to do it so that the tax helps to pay for cell phone plans for low income families that can't afford them, since having a cell phone is pretty much a requirement for living in a major metropolitan area these days (so they say). Whether or not that's the real plan, who knows. I'm sure more than anything it will be lining someone's pocket with more money.

If you can't afford a phone in Cali..how can you afford to live in a major metro area anyways???

exactly, but nonetheless it's a pretty big problem out here with the high cost of living vs low income (relatively speaking) households. In Orange County if you make under $80k a year, you're considered low income and can qualify for assistance if you meet some other criteria. CA is in for a rude awakening in more than a few ways in the long run, IMO. With most people spending everything they have on necessities and not saving any real money, it's going to hurt the economy when these generations get older and have nothing to fall back on. That's just one example, and unfortunately it's true in a lot of big city areas across the country.

Just finished up putting together a temporary bed rack so I can pick up my new RTT tomorrow. Put it together for about $60 using 1.75" .120 wall HREW, 1.5"x1.5" angle iron and 4 exhaust clamps. A single bar is enough to hold my weight on it and I weigh in at about 215/220 right now, so it should be plenty strong enough to handle the RTT and me in it. This will get me by until I can have the bed rack I want made.

That's not for all of Arizona, only Tucson, Phoenix and I think Flagstaff or something. The rest of the state doesn't require smog inspections.

I bailed on CA at the end of October after living there for 28 years. I love the state but hate the BS politics, the overly dense (that includes dense people) population and the ever increasing cost of living.

Lifetime registration would be awesome. Although, I was really happy that registration for my bike and both trucks was less than what I was paying for just 1 truck in CA. I paid something like $36 for 2 years registration on the Tacoma here in Tucson.
