Yes. I made my own attachment out of sheet metal from home depot and some T-Slot nuts. I measured it perfectly so it would mount around my clamps for the tonneau cover and my softopper. I also wanted the bottom of the rotopax to rest on the bed so it would help support the weight of it. I also utilized an existing torx screw near the bottom that helps keep the metal tight against the side of the truck. Just drilled a hole for it to pass through. Came out pretty good and it is very solid. It will also hold two 2 gallon packs. Here are a few pictures of the mount before I painted it:

As much as I dislike drum brakes, I don't see what the advantage would be in converting the Tacoma into discs in the rear. Most of the braking is happening in the front and I'd think preventing debris from offroading is a good thing to keep out of your brakes.

The primary advantage is your Taco can go a lot faster and you will have increase in usable horsepower do to the tremendous drop in vehicle weight after emptying your wallet for the disc conversion. :burnrubber:

Generally speaking my vehicles that do/had rear disc brakes tend to wear out pads a whole lot faster than the shoes in drums. Would have liked to seen 3rd gen brakes on our 3rd gen trucks but, with the other 3rd gen issues, we are probably better off keeping a little bit of the quality built 1st and 2nd gen components where we can get them.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
If that's the case (and I'm not disputing that most braking happens at the front), then wouldn't you want those important front brakes protected from debris?

I don't do OR, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't make any difference. Are there any other late model OR vehicles out there running drums? I have no idea.

I converted the rears to discs because I didn't like the feel of the brake pedal, it was a little squirrelly for my taste. I first converted the rears and changed the lines to braided s.s. back there. BIG difference. Then I changed the front rotors to slotted/drilled and added braided s.s. lines up front. Much smaller, but still noticeable change. After I got all the new pads/rotors properly broken in, there's now a much better, more consistent, feel at the pedal. I don't regret the effort/expense one bit.

FWIW, I had a Highlander loaner for a couple days a while back. Pretty sure it had discs all around, but the pedal still had that same weird feel, just to a lesser extent.

Yeah true. I think I paid right at 500-ish for the Bartacts. Just did not like that circuit board pattern on the Sport seats. Plus the Bartacts are waterproof and add a bit of padding. The Clazzios are pretty sweet looking though. Kinda thinking those next if/when these Bartacts give out. So far quality has been pretty great on them though.

But sure what you mean as “air pop” at low throttle you can ear a cool whistle sound. As you get more into it, around second gear you really ear it sucking up some air. Kinda has a growl to it kinda hard to describe. I like it.

Installed RCI aluminum transmission skid plate. It mated perfectly to the TRD Pro skid plate using the existing rear bolts, and was an easy install with existing cross-member holes. Also, it was designed so there is complete access to the front driveshaft so you can continue to lube the zerk fittings without removing the skid plate. The construction of both my RCI sliders and this skid plate is excellent. The skid plate also helps protect the catalytic converters.
