What I did today was go to the dealer for the fan blower recall. They had to order it, no biggie. BUT!!! While I was there I had them do the TSB to fix the 6 spd tranny "Let's hunt for a gear" problem. WOW, what a dramatic improvement. I just got back from the Big Bend Ranch/Pinto Canyon trip. It was the first true off roading I have done. The Taco is really awesome. I've had Jeeps all my life and for a stock truck the TRD Off-Road is a dream. I aired the tires down and had no trouble in sand, on rocks, up stair steps. Nice. BBRSP is a wonderful place to go in Texas as there isn't much Federally owned land.

Did the "remove tacky decal" mod. I figure it's good for at least 2 HP and maybe 5 mpg between the weight and wind drag. Next up: the "find a car wash" mod.

I traded my Predator tube steps, which were good for nothing except hitting me in the calf every time I got in and out of the truck or getting hung up on something when going off the beaten path, for this 2 month old Leer 180 shell. It was red. My local body shop painted it for me for $300. I'm pretty sure I got the better end of the deal. I think it looks great. Even has the fabric lining!

You might be right. I'm just projecting possible scenarios were fronts tend to be a little more immune from road debris, whereas rears might not be. Speculation as it were.

Took Donald in for his second checkup... can’t believe it’s been a year.. cleaned him up before we went out.

He was waiting when I returned!
    -Software and Transmission update
    -Oil change
    -Tires rotated

I didnt think I had a “gear hunting” issue like I did terribly in my 2nd gen but after the update I could honestly tell a difference!

    Good day

*And no, I didn’t park there.. .. stealership...

I had that sound on my old turbo charged car if I was deep in the throttle then let off abruptly.

Also I thought I had my setup in my build thread but I just realized I didn't so here's some pics of my panels.

    Before install layout:
    IMG_20181202_155142.jpg

I used Greymans install kit with self tapping screws. I was skeptical that this would hold but it's on there pretty good.

    Passenger Side
    IMG_20181202_160608.jpg

All the seats close up no problem. The only issue I have with it is that I don't think you can adjust the pouches with the panel still installed, you'd have to remove the screws. I don't plan on needing to (for now) but if I did I think I'd drill holes and try to install riv-nuts or something similar to make them removable. Just not sure how riv-nits would work in the plastic tray... :notsure:

Yeah I heard. I’m originally from California. Moved to Arizona 10 years ago. I was contemplating getting an Arizona number when I heard but apparently the feds stepped in and shut that shit down. I’ll wait and see

Dropped in to the dealer today because of vibrations I thought were being caused by the auto tranny. No test drives they just went ahead and updated the ECM. They had two TSBs that applied to my 2018. Time will tell if it solved the problem. The roads here are so shitty I can’t really tell what’s makin her vibrate!

That may work. I was trying to find a way to do it without removing the entire rear seat and all the plastic trim behind it.
