What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Well I suppose if you have self control problems credit might reflect that, but for those of us with self control it's not a problem.

 

Diy. I helped adjust my buddies on his 2nd gen. I think he turned them 3x and gained a half inch.

 

Found a radiator that will fit, it's from a 22re. Do you guys think it'll cool enough if I get the Champion Radiator version with electric fans? I wish it was just a little wider. But I think with the trans cooler stealing some heat from the radiator it'll be okay.

 

Don't you just pre measure and adjust to desired height? Too many variables to factor standard turns per inch I would think.

 

To me it looks like my state could care less about the height of my bumpers...

On my Kings, one full rotation of that adjuster collar is a .25" change.

 

Thinking of having 4WP do it? Can't turn em yourself? Takes a couple mins to do it

 

We didn't compress the spring. Just lifted the front of the truck off the ground. We did need heat on the ring to get things moving. A little lube too.

 

I found one for 100$,dunno if that’s decent or not

 

I just mounted a 3 row 3.0 radiator. Holds a lot of coolant.

 

Finally soundproofed the cab and doors! It’s better but most of the sound seems to be coming from the front two seats and forward. I’ll probably add some more insulation under the carpeting there. Also it’s up for sale! 70k miles

 

What's it like in the engine bay I'm working with some pretty tight measurements haha. 25" wide x 21"tall. And my tube from my bumper to shock tower hit right where the stock radiator cap would be.

 

Don't do it. Not worth the risk of what could go wrong with shops like that. Unless this one you're talking about has an actual great reputation of course

Just adjust your coil overs yourself. I bet your wife can turn them Just need a 14'' long 1/4'' punch.

Yeah its kind of cool. Only good for vehicles i think older than..11 years or something like that. But its nice!

 

Yeah I bent it as well. Still turned Mikes though. Did you jack up the truck?

 

Turned my marker lights into semi fog lights.

 

I mess up both my coil collars adjusting them, shit was tight.


How far is Blackfoot from you?

It's 24" tall and 21 wide without side brackets and 2.5" thick. Height will be your issue for sure.

Dang, well I'm sure it'll be fine. It never overheated before even in traffic with 110°+ summer heat.
