I can build these boats in months. 2 other men and myself. I work every part of that boat from the time we pull the hull out of the swamp as a longliner to test runs and delivery. The 61' and 44' Garlington Landeweer are just as close to my heart as a builder. Started at 17yrs old the summer I graduated HS44gl1.jpg 61'+Flybridge+Garlington+Landeweer.jpg

...^^^... Those are great looking boats ... thanks for the post ...

I knew some of the Sutphen's and a few other guys who use to modify and race boats down there.

The other part of that family was in the fire truck manufacturing business.

Took some of the ideas from here and made a groove on the front to open the lid instead of a handle. I think it looks better that way

The future live edge Walnut dining room table arrived today. All 10' 5" and 377 Lbs. I had to run out and get some 60" clamps since I didn't have any large enough.

The top part is the table 6" 4". I will carve the ends to mimic the live edge and round the corners a little. I was planning on using the bottom part for the legs but my wife looked at it and said oh no, you have to make chairs out of them.

When working on 2 1/2" thick hard wood make sure your batteries are charged up beforehand. I did not so I only got so far today.

I have seen so many live edge tables that leave the ends cut straight. I just can't do that. Battery three in the charger now.

This is just the rough view, more to come.

I'll guess and say cherry and oak. I'm interested to know how close I am though.
