IIRC correctly, on my truck they were labeled OX1 and OX2 for pre and post cat Not sure how they are labeled on the 2nd gen 2tr. It's just a matter of figuring out which one wire you need to replace the pin for. I was skeptical at first of doing it, but it literally started right up after hooking everything up.

I unplugged it and wrapped the connection with electrical tape. I got CEL once in a while for heater wire. It didn’t change how the truck ran and I’d just clear it with my UltraGauge while I was driving. I was going to look into what people do to get around that but then I ended up going to the Megasquirt so it didn’t matter

    A thing or two...
As was mentioned, OX1B is your secondary O2 sensor that monitors the catalytic converter. The 2TR doesn't use a traditional narrowband sensor. It's better than a narrowband, but not as good as a true wideband. The pins labelled A1A+ and A1A- in the image you posted are the primary pre-cat sensor.

It needs to be left in place, and you have to use the MAPECU AFR module to alter the signal going into the ECU. The ECU wants to see 14.7 pretty much the whole time that it is in closed loop. If you don't alter the signal that the ECU sees with the AFR module, it is going to fight you whenever you try to add fuel until it's trying to pull so much fuel out that it throws a CEL.

What you want to do is use the AFR table to get the fueling that you want, and then use the FUEL table to adjust the LTFT and STFT.

EDIT: The stock sensor is current based, so you can't just feed it a voltage. You tap into the A1A+ wire and the AFR module acts as a current source/sink to alter the ECU signal.

Glad I’m not on fb. Those guys are tards. We were talking maybe a month ago that if you change out any internal hardware a bsd is required.

    2rz ftw lol.

I know in the Mitsubishi world we would do the balance shaft elimination but after years of experience we found the extra vibrations at high rpms would cause issues when shifting enough that it would kill synchros and cause hard shifts. Also eliminates a lot of vibration if running poly motor mounts.

It will not vibrate if you put upgraded balanced internals thats the point.

That's the point of bsd, motor building.

Had to quote our man of fine detail because I love his motor.
