I guess we should just stop all progress since we can't think outside the box we're trapped in.

The free car pool lane is going away for EV cars and as soon as the energy rate spikes im sure the free charge at work will as well.

Thats not my point, My point is we need to slow down on Energy usage from the power grid, there is better ways to address this.
thinking outside the box is exactly what we need to do. Not be ants and keep following the shitty road we are traveling. Now if your electric car charges it self as it moves then it would never need to pull power from a man made source.
But you keep following the ant in front of you or the guy selling you power.

Much to be agreed with what you said. Renewable energies will change the world as much or more than the iPhone did. Time will tell the story.

CA is releasing new carpool stickers at the new year, I think they are 4 year, and I think I saw somewhere they extended the expiration for the green and white stickers, might have been wrong though. Still that's besides the point. Also I don't get free charges at work, but I can get ~250 miles in one hour for less than $20.

I work downtown and I see more tourists taking pictures of their sign than of the Red Church. It was also one of the first pictures I took of the town when I first came here.

Well fellas, just got another follow up call on a new job, (former job requesting me back)..............

Looks like its back to Hawaii for me early next year. :hattip: Might need to do a small garage sale of certain items to gain a little cash for moving. Will probably post up a post in the NorCal section come first of the year. Be on the look out!

Was a great time here meeting some awesome buddies! Happy Holidays all! :drunk:

Wow. Your California stay reminds me of the turnaround at some shops I've worked at lol.

Congrats, but all in all, I'm going to have to dislike this post. Let me know if you need anything.

Traditional energy companies here in California are being asked to cut back on production during “traditional” high peak hours due to PV energy production.

It’s playing havoc with CalISO scheduling. Mainly due to it being semi-unreliable. Google the energy duck curve.

So @Speedo there is actually a glut of energy during most days. Otherwise I agree with you. Energy is energy and fossil fuels is one of the most reliable efficient ways to move people around at the moment.

Like you said if we all switched to electric cars our electrical distribution system wouldn’t work. We’d end up using gas/diesel generators to power our cars and that would be a significant loss of efficiency.

    Someday maybe

You're gonna need some polished 20x10s before you ship the truck. Wouldn't want to get laughed off the island.
