Thanks, no worries! Gonna catch @EddyRRT and @Acerwin here getting steel.

Wife said the Toyota Of Escondido folks were asking about the bumpers on my truck, lots! They liked them, said they had never seen it before.

They are probably in shock to see a 4wd Tacoma, since basically every truck in that area is a pre-runner.

Correct! They sell far more pre-runners. But the market is so large there- also lots of 4WD. Soo many built Tacomas out there than here. Magnatudes more.

Also lots of full size long travel trucks.

Sorry to barrage this sub with my issues but maybe I could get some advice from you guys.

Talked to the other insurance company and they only offered me 15k for my truck. I still owe and they told me all the equipment I've added was worth 500. Even though they gave my truck an excellent on all aspects except carpet and seats. But its 12 year old truck, so it got a fair assessment. I really dont think this is fair WHATSOEVER. I know insurance company's want to pay the least ammount possible, but damn.

I'm still going to go to my insurance company to see what they offer. I'm supposed to have 5k coverage for aftermarket parts but at this point idk USAA has barely talked to me and they just dont seem to want to help me out. They were quick to let progressive take over. I mean shouldn't they be talking to progressives fighting in my favor?

Idk what to do. I've got a kid coming and this off just will not work for me.

Just a venting post too. Thanks yall

That sounds like a low ball offer to me. Especially the $500 for accessories. If you have receipts for suspension, sliders, wheels, etc, I'd present those as being way more than $500.

I sent them every receipt. It totaled over 5k in just one year

Also talked to one of the progressives assessors and he told me there is nothing they can do.

According to their website, they offer custom parts coverage up to 5k. They should try again with that $500 offer. IMO

If I go with that they may say it's only for people insured with them.Even though they told me NO ONE gets this.

Either way it's some ammo. Thank you

If you were not at fault, then your insurance company should be managing the claim process with the other drivers insurance company and trying to get the most money possible for your vehicle, all on your behalf.

You should be escalating this to your local insurance agent and not just letting some schmuck in customer service try to help you.
