I would have driven a couple hundred miles or more to drive it but damn, $26,500 for a two year old Tacoma SR?!?! Ouch.

"Sir, we don't haggle, can you read the sign on our web page? Haggle Free Pricing!"

    For fucks sake!

No flares except the stamped body flares looks amazing, like how they were in the early 80s

This is a good truck.MVIMG_20181021_101604.jpgit may not be fancy, or fast, or tow 5 tons, but it has yet to let me down or disappoint me. I feel like it was fate that I decided to buy a truck the last year they made a 4cyl 5spd, it's my first truck, my first Toyota and my first new car.

Sometimes things just work out perfectly and I'm thankful for that.

Dude I got 29.5 for mine and it never touched dirt and everything was new. 4.88's and Air Locker with tent and rack new tires :frusty:

But I bought it new for 24.4.

I don't disagree with your thought process. Just not ready to pull the trigger on another Tacoma in that price range. Love your rig. Nice!

    Be good to pops.

    I've only driven MT vehicles.

I was disappointed when they did away with the 2.7L 5 speed MT.

Looks like you are getting good use out of your rig.

I had a 6 cyl for 18 years with my last truck and did enjoy it, but my 2.7l is so easy to work on and requires so little maintenance that I'm happy with the choice I made.

I was thinking to myself today while riding down the road. This thing is kinda like a good old fashioned tractor, just kinda putters along and does its thing. It will run forever, always be slow, and just not care what you ask of it. I have the auto and think it has enough torque in first to even be used as a tractor.

I appreciate mine, 260k, some of that supercharged and it's still happy to bounce off the rev limiter and carry me around.

Why, WHy, WHY, can they put a "standard" Tcase with shifter in a new T4R (only certain models) but not in a 3G Taco? Dammit.

BTW some very nice access cabs in here

    Nice!

Those black rear bumper caps look way better than the chrome crap my truck came with. Yeah yeah, I could DERP it.. tried that with the cheese grater grille and it was a mess. Faux Pro now lol.

I have a 2012 , 4 cyl Auto. 6 Months ago , it was added a URD superchager kit, been running fine, more power now when needed.
If you really want some fun/more power, then use the SPORT mode.

This is an astute observation, and this thread needs to keep going.

I feel pity for the large portion of the populace that will never have the pleasure of connecting with a tool. It's a shame that "tool" has become synonymous with something that is just used to accomplish a task.

To me a tool is something that over time becomes an extension of yourself, used to accomplish a task. I have a chisel that I bought when I started my current job, there are many like it but mine is MINE. It may just be steel and wood but my hand knows every curve and imperfection. The ash handle is finished with years of dirt, oil, sweat and blood. When it radiates warmth from being held and cutting through wood I smile.

Calling my truck a tool is one of the highest honors I could bestow on it.

    TL;DR tools rock, trucks rock
