    I had no idea Binford had any product designations other than 6100. Too many ‘90’s sitcoms I guess.
    Unfortunately WA has the same requirement. WAC 204-10-022

    Weird, I just shoved a 3/8 punch in there used the jack handle and turned it no problem with the truck on the ground even. Took 5mins per side. I guess git gud haha

    50# less and we have similar fronts, right down to the bumper. I call user error. He lifted his off the ground and couldn't do it, maybe he needs a bigger I beam or something I dunno. Wasn't even worth a second thought with how easy mine were, I shot them with a toot of PB and was good to go.

    Heat the ring with a heat gun. It's probably corroded a bit. I bent his spanner before the heat. Buddy said he was quoted $160 a shock to adjust them by 4wp.

    Couldn’t any ol auto shop just compress the spring in their fancy gizmos they have and spin the collar in like 5 seconds?


    If you want to take them off the truck anyway.

    Even if they charged you a half hour in labor, or if youre Erm, known around the shop, they’d probably just do it for nothing.

    After having a burnt valved replaced, I’m wondering if I don’t have an air pocket in the cooling system, or timing is slightly off. It’s running the best it’s ever ran, but the engine temperature (according to my UG) is going between 195-199 going down the highway. It will peak at 199, eventually work it way back down to 195, and then go back to 199. Before having the valve replaced it was pretty consistent at 195.

    Am I over thinking it? Tried making sure the system had been burped correctly. Radiator should be fine, less than a year old. Thermostat was replaced with a 170 shortly before valve was replaced.

    You're ok. You wont hurt it at that temp. Mine runs at 202-205 normally. Always has.

    Well the guy from the gear shop called and said the gear install went good, he drove it and it all sounds perfect. But he’s having issues bleeding my brakes properly? Says it feels to soft at the petal and that the rear brakes weren’t showing good pressure when he was bleeding them. He’s having another guy from a different shop come look at it in the morning apparently. Hopefully he gets it figured out. Any ideas on what would cause that?

    Why did he have the brakes apart anyway? But maybe he doesn't know to bleed the LSPV or they allowed the master to run dry and it has air trapped in it, or if you have ABS maybe air is trapped there.

    I hear you brother... I hate this State! We just got back from spending 5 days in Texas and Oklahoma... People are so much nicer there, it's cleaner, the traffic is better, gas is under $2.00 a gallon.

    I didn't get 50 feet from the gate at SFO and I wanted to start punching people in the face for being assholes.

    Damn it... Why did we come back to this place? :notsure:

    I have ABS and that LSPV and brakes are squishy after Tundra upgrade.
    I bled Driver Rear, LSPV, Pass Rear, Pass Front, Driver Front in that order.

    I learned AFTER that I should have bled LSPV first, then DR, PR, PF, DF.
    Any other guidance?

    Is that not normal when doing gears? He also did axle seals and wheel bearings.

    Not for gears. But yes for axles seals as you have to disconnect the rear drums

    You can leave the wheel cylinders on, but if he was doing the bearings and seals he would pull everything completely, makes sense

    yeah I'm from the Midwest (Missouri), lived in Texas for several years as a kid...definitely a different overall vibe out there. People in general are a less rushed to get about which makes for a lot less stress and lot happier people overall imo.

    That said, if I lived in the Midwest again I think I'd get way too depressed from the lack of mountains...I need mountains. Not just for the scenery but also for the better offroading trails and camping trips. The midwest has mud, that's about it for offroading lol. Unless you're out in the Ozarks maybe, which is a beautiful area.

    I lived up in Oregon for a brief time as a kid and that was by far my favorite place I've lived...if it were as easy as saying 'let's move' I'd be up there tomorrow. That's the goal eventually, maybe not Oregon depending on where the opportunities are, but somewhere further north. Hell, I'd be happier living in California even if we were up in Northern (way northern) CA. A small town like Grass Valley or maybe Folsom. Close to the N. Sierras. At least it's even prettier up there than it is down here lol.
