    1.05 93.
    Wow! NAILED IT.

I’ve been an @OVTune customer since 1.03 and <10K on the truck. Every edition was definitely an upgrade, albeit very minor between each version.
    Then in comes 1.05.

    Quick 30 mile review...
My top three complaints prior to 1.05 were:
    1. 6th gear sucked. The truck rarely stayed in 6th gear.
    2. 4th gear. It seemed that the truck always defaulted to 4th anytime there was a call for a downshift.
    3. Cruise control was wonky. Especially at 50-65 mph.

The combination of 1&2 made the truck miserable to drive at highway speeds. The only way highway travel was remotely enjoyable was to use S5 and/or ECT. As you know, this resulted in no-so-good mpgs.

The 30 mile trip I took tonight has several hills that used to make the truck shift from 6th to 4th without fail - everyday. Not tonight! My average mpg for this trip is usually 16.7. Tonight it was 18.8. Probably because I could drive 60-65 and not hunt for gears.

I have never enjoyed driving my truck as much as I did tonight. I didn’t think about it shifting. I didn’t worry about how I was applying additional pedal. I just drove it.

The best part: constant pedal results in contstant speed (within reason). It didn’t feel like it was prone to decelerate.

Other benefits that would make this too long (I’ll do a full review in the other thread):

    - no clunk to first gear
    - shift points are right on target
    - downshifts are smooth and extremely predictable
    - 6th gear very usable. Pedal depression does not automatically call for a downshift.
    - no 4th gear hang. Upshifts to 5th naturally.
    - cruise control doesn’t hunt
    - no 6th to 4th downshift unless you ask for a passing gear down shift.
    - quite a bit peppy when compared to 1.04r.

No Tune for you !
Actually by the looks of the way this is starting out, it might be better to be in the middle of the line.

Patience, patience Grasshopper.... There is lots to be learned from listening and watching those that go before you !

Mat one thing I noticed when the flash was complete, I didn't get the normal audible that the process was complete. That may be why the one guy who reported the constant cranking forgot to turn the truck off first... otherwise, I am golden. Bout to hit the road for a test. 4.88 gears and 33s here on 93...

Wow, That sounds great. Bought my Tune last September, than when it arrived Mat posted that Hand Helds were available so I haven't opened the box and have been waiting ever since. He said I could exchange it for the hand held so all I've been doing is reading every single post since than. Yes, Very painful but every once in a while their seems to be some useful info. Glad most of you are getting 1.05. Hopefully I'll see it.....eventually. P.S. Don't give me too much shit for wanting a handheld and not using my unpredictable POS laptop.

Awesome surprise tonight! Wish I would have brought the windows laptop home from my shop. I'll have to get to work early tomorrow and flash 1.05 immediately. This is absolutely perfect timing as I have 8 hours of highway driving coming up this weekend. Merry Christmas!

I thought we're supposed to flash it under P5-CAN-BUS option, no?
