who here is gonna give up their beloved Tacoma for the new Jeep Gladiator when it arrives in the Spring 2019? I am sure some of us, myself included are considering it. not that we don't love our Tacomas now, but for the guys that do some off roading and want a mid size truck, the Gladiator might fit that bill to a T. I myself do not do any wheeling just yet, I have been wanting to try it. but I have a fear of messing up my truck, so that stops me before I even get started. plus, I fear I bought the wrong model for off roading.

I have looked at it, but with new wheels and a lift in my Tacoma I am pretty happy with it. Plus my wallet probably can’t afford the trade in loss and cost of the gladiator

I love my Taco, and most of the ones I see. I am sure when the Gladiator arrives that they will fetch top dollar from most dealers, and they will probably not even consider discounting them. so actually trading my truck for one will be outta the question for at least a year after their arrival. the Jeep dealers around here won't even discount a Wrangler Rubicon now, so I am sure they will ask more than MSRP for a newly released vehicle.

I have actually considered trading my Sport in a year or so for an Off-Road or even a Pro. I won't be off-roading every weekend but I would like to go on the occasional outing with my Jeep buddies.

    Not me.
I think the Gladiator is pretty cool (ugly AF, but cool), but I really like my Tacoma. Plus, I can never get a Jeep now after all the shit I talk to my Jeep friends.

I already have a jk rubicon soft top,so I’ll keep my 2016 or 4x4 trd for truck duties, and fire roads.

    I agree Blake.
In our area Prairieville/Gonzales, LA, there are about 10 to 1 Jeeps to Tacomas (even my son has a Jeep). I see so many of them on the road. And The few 3rd gen Tacomas that I see are stock. Ours that are modded are unique. I’m sticking with mine.

in our area the ratio is about even, Jeeps to Tacos. and a lot of them are modded, both the Jeeps and Tacos. I like them all.

The chance is slim to none. Don’t do enough off roading to even justify my Taco OR. However it does pull my camper real nice. Think I’ll keep it.

Oh yeah, there’s gonna be quite a few Gladiators on the road around here. I know more than a few Jeep guys that “can’t wait” for it to come out so they can get one.
My daughter said when she starts driving, she either wants my truck or a Jeep. I asked her what color Jeep she wants. Lol.

haha, thats good. my daughter got her Jeep Cherokee in August, only after I told her she wasn't getting my truck. she drove a 4Runner and ultimately decided on the Cherokee due to it "fitting her" better. her words...

Those of who know a thing or two and have been around the block are definitely not considering it. I like it, I think it has a cool look but it is a.... Jeep.
    Sorry.

The Sport will go much further off road than your courage. It does just fine.

Has pricing been announced on the jeep yet? I think the idea is cool, but it looks terrible. Espicially with the doors off.
And it probably has death welds.

There’s a reason why no jeep made it high on the “most reliable car/truck” list in recent years... just saying

Oh well then by all means. Certainly fits the criteria when buying an off road utility vehicle.
