Might give me time to figure out bootcamp and win7 on a mac-air. That has to be better than my Jurassic Toshiba.

 

During my patient time waiting, I just bought an OBD blue tooth reader and app.....

 

just quick fyi, if by chance you've updated your mac to mojave, then you cant use anything less than win 10 for bootcamp. If not, then proceed as planned.

 

I can take my dongle out now?

The link in the blog post will be all I need with my trusty dongle kit, correct?

I have not done the tsb yet.

 

Bootcamp is really easy. I just turn off ALLL Windows defender crap every time i start up, takes minutes from start to flash ending.

 

If you're not on 04B04 cal id the posted link will not work for you. And since you already said you haven't done the tsb then you're not compatible, though if you're a bit impatient you could always do the update yourself as the needed cuw file and walkthrough is floating around this thread if you search for it.

 

I do recommend the 91 tune, get ready you guys...you're gonna love it.

 

I am going to flash and its not completing the process, it just says completed unsuccessfully

 

It is a TCU file, not a gearbox file. Make sure truck is on second push of ON button (not engine started). Unplug restart, try again.
Are you sure your ID is 04B04?

 

I had the same thing happen, I'm not 04B04, still 04B02, tried twice before I realized. Dang

 

Agreed, make sure it is on, but not started, and not in accessory mode.

problem solved. The anticipation will just make it that much more awesome.

 

i'm at a 1/4 tank left so just in time to fill tank with 91 and tune assuming the rest get released today for MT

 

use up as much of that 1/4 tank as possible, gives you an excuse for horrible gas mileage lol

 

04B61 is supposed to be today. That’s not an MT variant

 

I had the same situation and was told I was taking a chance running a 91 tune because with 1/4 tank of 87 left 91 won’t be 91 in your tank. I added a whole bottle of gas booster to the tank and it was ok. Others would run a tank of 91 before flashing the 91 tune.
