the intakes are different, but the elbow that goes into the fender and the tube that goes back are the same part number, I just looked them up

Might not be too difficult then to modify it to work, I don't know if anyone in this thread has done it with a 2.7l yet but someone has to be the first!

Mine is a 2.7. The ARB is supposed to fit both so I’m thinking this should work, too. I don’t know when I’ll get time to put it on though.

Now that I pulled the trigger, I'm wincing at the thought of drilling a hole in the fender, and in the A piller for the rivets. The cherry has been popped on my rig (my expression for when a rig isn't cherry anymore and all bets are off when thinking about cutting, welding, modding etc) but still, drilling through OEM paint just doesn't sit right with me.

Drilling into the A pillar is the only part that makes me nervous. Fenders are easy to replace and color match.

yeah the rivets in the a-pillar are a bit nerve wracking...at least the fender is easily replaceable if you needed to, but the a-pillar not so much lol. Some are using industrial strength mounting tape there instead, but I just bit the bullet and used the rivets. They hold very tight, no movement at all which is nice

I used this to hold the large door trim/panels on a black ‘06 GX. They would fall off every summer in South MS but survived a couple weeks of WTX dry summer heat as well a MS summer. Apparently some good isht. Looks like it would hold as good as the paint does for sure.

I wouldn’t worry about UV damage. Might last longer than you owning the truck.

Buy it now and worry about it later. Worst case is you can always sell it and make your money back. If it sells out again it will only go up when it’s back in stock. I’m guessing close to the other off brand one, $160?

I wouldn’t worry about some small holes in the a pillar. Finder are easily replaceable. Now that I’m running 33” I cut and bent my pinch weld. I’m thinking of trimming my fenders or if need be even do the cab mount chop. I’ve already did some cutting when I first installed my ALLPRO bumper. I also have weld on sliders. Move forward and don’t look back. The future is never guaranteed and things are always changing.

Thats why I mention OEM paint- I just have a weird appreciation for it, more so than the next guy obviously. IRT to other things, I have weld on sliders, not one hesitation- holes in my OEM skid, zer0 f*cks. My front bumper is crooked from hitting a hillside (getting a higher angle Relentless)- larger injectors and multiple piggies no one else has run (or at least post about) - so yeah... just OCD about OEM paint I guess...

IRT to your 33", are they still rubbing after the pinch weld mod? Or you want to run larger and thus the cab cop? Am already doing the pinch mod for my 31", but wondering about 33".

Yes I understand what you mean, nothing beats OEM paint.

I did the pinch weld mod and got my caster aligned. Having your caster align helps a lot too. No more rubbing for street use. I haven’t taken it off road yet but I’m sure it will start rubbing on some of the obstacles. I might not need it but I don’t mind cutting my truck anymore. It’s like getting a tattoo, once you start it’s gets easier and more addictive.

Huh, wonder why they don't advertise it for 2.7l then...they're missing out on potential customers
