    Its legit. 0922181740a.jpg
Part number stamped on it is not the same as the one for a 1st gen though. I think it comes up for a T100 or Tundra. Either way, it fits fine. Going on 4k miles so far on mine.

Awsome, thanks guys for verifying. I've been on the fense for weeks on this. Between the polyeurethane bearing, the "wookie stregth" bearing or just putting $200+ down on an OEM bearing...

Want to mention as well that for the 4x4 1st gens the Rear Diff Pinion Bearing (big one) I ordered through Advance Auto as a "National" brand but in the box is a KOYO. Then I ordered 2 rear wheel bearings the same way and the bearings that came in were actually National brand. IDK what causes this but I won't complain about some of those coming as OEM bearings. lol

I think folks have been buying this knowing it's OEM for at least a few months, if not years, right? It seems I've read about this for last couple years or more. But I could be wrong, I've been wrong before.
Regardless, helluva deal on an OEM carrier bearing.

I've been researching carrier bearing solutions for a weeks if not months. This week just stumbled on a post on ttora I think that made menthion of this.

It said the same for me. It says its due to arrive tomorrow (we'll see, with all the holiday backup). I'll verify when it comes in and update this thread but from the other replies, I don't expect to be disapointed.

Do you trust Amazon auto advice? I called drivetrain america to get mine. Thats the part number they sent me. Fits like a glove.

They wouldnt sell direct to me, said I had to purchase through a vendor so I googled their name and PN and Amazon was the first one that pop'ed up.

I trust Amazon's return policy gareuntee.

Also, I see your in VA. My truck was from Roanoke and had some rust on it. I needed a 3 jaw puller to pull the flange/bearing off the driveshaft. Picked up an 8" puller from harbor freight for $13 and it did fine.

Yeah I researched the process a while ago. Probably going to wait a while before tackling and research more. I've been lucky with rust and kept my truck garage kept for the last ten years.

Ill give you a semi detailed report on what I did:
    1. Use nail polish to mark the position of the flanges on the driveshaft.

    2. Only remove the 4 bolts on the flange directly behind the carrier bearing. There is no need to remove any peice of the driveshaft if your only replacing the bearing.

3 .Its gonna take several hits from a steel hammer to seperate the two flanges. Dont be afraid to smack it, just make sure your hitting on the flange. Have a jack stand ready to rest the back half on.

    4. Use a 24 mm socket on an impact to remove the stake nut. No need to unstake it if your gun has enough beans. A breaker bar will work if you unstake it first. I left the truck in gear to do this.

    5. Use a puller if needed to remove the flange, note the position of the splines and mark it first.

    6. Remove the two washers, and remove the bearing.

    7. Assemble everything together in the reverse order. Dont be alarmed if the new bearing wont go on all the way at first. Use anti seize on the splines, and on the inside of the flange.

    8. Seat the new bearing by running that stake nut down with an impact, if you dont have one, torque it to like 100 foot pounds. You should see the bearing slide back when you do this.

    9. Loosen the stake nut and retorque to 50 foot pounds? (Not sure on the spec, check the carrier bearing sticky.)

    10. Assemble the two halves of the driveshaft, with your nailpolish lines lining up.

    11. Use blue loctite on the flange bolts, and get them as tight as you can with a wrench. (I had to link two wrenches together to get them tight enough).

    12. Clean up, test, enjoy a cold beverage.

Took me like an hour and a half or so.

You don't happen to have the PN for the stake nut do you?
