That's because other cars (gas/diesel) have the infrastructure in place, they are sustainable, and they aren't reliant on heavy tax payer subsidies to make them not go bankrupt.

I beg to differ, just because it's the infrastructure that's in place, doesn't mean it's better. Especially in the long term.

 

I think you need to work out how best to conduct yourself on these forums.

 

If that Nuclear power was safer to utilize/store definitely would make life power situation a whole lot better.

There are a variety of issues with homes and solar or other co gen facilities that back feed. No one seems think about things like that. Especially when first responders expect the provider has pulled the breaker yet there’s still current flowing.

Why this matters is because for solar to work, most homes will require storage facilities to cover at some point-things like Power Walls.

 

The power storage is one of the biggest expense in making solar really not as viable as many people think it is.

Another thing, especially here in CA, is you have the different local utility companies. Some of them will not buy power from solar. We are Turlock Irrigation District (actually a very big local utility) They either don't buy solar power or they pay such a low rate it's not worth it (I can't remember exactly)... A personal friend was the Regional manager for Solar City. He personally tried to pencile it out and said with TID, unless you have serious storage capacity, when you are making more power than you are using you are just giving the utility free money and he could not come up with a solution that would be economically beneficial for us.
