Dealers add all kinds of crap to jack up the price. Take this SR5 for example. Sure, it is 4wd, but its still a SR5.

In the description is says fog lights, as well as Entune Plus with Scout connectivity and other things that are SR5 material, but I could not find any info on what makes it the same price range as a PRO.

$45k, That’s crazy I bought mine for $30,500 since it had 100 miles on it. Whichever the case, 4WD trucks always resell for more

Throw some sandbags in the bed over the axles and use chains.. problem solved.. It'll go nearly anywhere you want it to

I have over a foot of snow on my road right now. It won't be plowed for several days. They don't make enough sand bags to get a RWD truck to go in this lol. Chains and sandbags maybe.

I have a 2018 2wd utility model Tacoma, I just wanted dependable truck, if you need 4wd I'm not going there. It's a basic truck, but it has everything I need and more so there is no need to by a bliged out truck. There are plenty of high dollar Tacos around without 4wd. I'm just glad I can buy a new truck of some kind, lots and I mean lots of my friend can't!

You know that we have mountains, deserts and other epic off-roading in CA? We are home to the tallest mountain the continental United States, one the largest dune systems in the United States, some of the largest open OHV areas in the country and areas where are ski resorts stay open till July. Saying there is “ almost 0 need for 4x4” out here can’t be further from the truth.

OP, I bought a 2wd Taco first too. Got stuck multiple times at various areas before and the wife actually started encouraging me to trade it in. If your going to need it, get it and enjoy it. If your not sure if you’ll need it but want it, get what you want. Good look OP, hope your happy in the end.
