Check out Trail Designs. They have numerous fuel configurations. Many makers of light woodstoves too, I think some will burn Esbit also. The set you mentioned I see can nest, but the pot bottom would have to be wiped off, then there is the issue of the fuel smell. I'll see what surfaces later, nothing on TV tonight.

The Toaks state some good engineering, but pot selection is limited. Nothing about Esbit/wood use. What size pot are you looking for?
Trail Designs has the Ti Tri stove. Look at that. I love their 12-10 stove. Under 7/8oz. denatured alcohol to boil 12 to 16oz. water.

    Good morning Susan, gang,
Local radio mentioned Ron Howard visited the recent Camp Fire in Paradise and is going to make a documentary about it. He has ties to the area they said.

    Evening all:
More rain, the river has been too high for pretty well the entire fall walleye bite. I didn't even get out there for one day, missed some usually pretty good walleye fishing. :(

Done nothing but rain here all day too wdb.Worked in it all day long. But that wasn't as bad as the driving conditions. What do you get if you combine Friday, holiday shopping and rain=insane drivers. Some of the stunts I've seen today with folks driving have been crazy.Made it home by 6 and the Mrs. had dinner ready with wine.So it all ended well.
I wanted to say Merry Christmas to all! Not going to be politically correct and say happy holidays.Just not me.Probably most in our age group were not raised like that anyway. And also thanks for inviting me on the porch! Good group of folks here.

Yes, thanks to deligent efforts by my wife and a little heavy lifting by me we are pretty much ready.

I agree, the stores are a zoo, and the streets are a logjam.

Ordering some gifts online helped too.

A question occurred to the other day. Not really earth-shaking. When we were kids, 60+ years ago, we played Hide and Seek. When mother called us to supper, we would notify those still hiding by yelling, "Ollie Ollie ox in free!" (Spelled phonetically). My wife, raised a thousand miles from where I came from, remembers the same thing. The question is: what was the original call? I assume that is a corruption of something else.

We played a schoolyard game called British Bulldog in Windsor, Ontario. Two lines of teams would face each other and someone would yell British Bulldog! We would then charge each other's lines trying to break through without being captured. The object was to capture the entire opponent's side, I think.

Yes. Our politicians do that with the budget on a regular basis.

Traffic here is a little heavier, brief wait at 1 of the 2 stop lights in town. :) I don't hit town too much so as to avoid the traffic. I like early mornings.
