just picked up my 4th tacoma, its a 95 ex cab 2.7 5 speed 4x4 2'' leveling kit 2'' body on 33s. filled the tank up and when i got home noticed that the bed is leaning to the left a pretty good noticable bit.. looking from the front of the truck it sits level so i figure its just saggy rear leaf springs...

what is the cheapest way to fix this issue? or best way?

    thanks guys

cheapest way would be a block for that side to go under the springs....best way would be either new leaf packs...or add a leaf's.

ya i was looking at new leafs since mine are pretty well settled there almost flat. just dont have the 300 bucks for them right now so looking for a cheap temporary fix to the problem. blocking one side and not the other wont have any negative outcomes or extra strain on rear axle or anything?

the truck its self has about 190 on it but it had a complete motor tranny tcase computer everything swap out of a 99 and since the computer and all was taken from the 99 it has a digital odo and dash cluster so truck only shows 101k.

should i be able to pick up a 1'' block at like napa or discount or will they not carry them?

i doubt they will have one..but you can try. best place to look would probably be toyteclifts.com or maybe even wheelersoffroad.com.

thanks, figured id throw up a side shot of the truck, overall its pretty clean for a 95 could use a good wax job and has a few rock dings and bug chips that are rusted but no rust on frame.

That's normal..... the 'taco lean' when the gas tank is full.

You could go round & round chasing the problem. I did with my 96 tacoma. My rear leaf springs were re-arched w/ two custom AAL's (2" lift) and I ended up getting OME 881 coils w/OME struts. That seemed to minimize the lean as much I could.

Also...just an FYI - If you keep the stock springs, they are SIDE SPECIFIC.

I would NOT put a block on one side only. The cheapeast way to fix it, is to ignore it. It's normal for those trucks.

Had a '94 exactly like yours. Those were the best years for 1st Gens - they really were bulletproof.

I just bought up a '97 xtra cab 4x4 and it has the lean too. Its pretty minor, only about 1/2" to the drivers side.

Should I just leave it alone?
