So anyway Kamille, sorry if we derailed this hugely important concern you had about the tune or something or other......

All I know is this...I've had this truck since August and I've put it through some bad ass mud and washed out trails, rough terrain situations along with highway and around town driving and she's done everything I've asked of her. That's what I bought it for (and pavement driving gets me 23.4 to 24.2MPG).

A short while back I posted my test drive impressions between multiple 2018s and the 2019s (purchased a 2019) and it's funny to go back now to see the people saying I was "full of shit" and "you don't know what you're talking about" with regards to them driving differently.

Lol Comrade....not stalking you but I remember your thread...

I think you maybe edited the first post of your thread, but here is a quote I quoted....

What I have read about is unfortunately true - there is basically zero power. Without ECT on it is literally pitiful I'm so sorry to say! It felt hard to even drive 65 mph on the highway! Then when I would give it gas it would finally decide to wake up a little and jerk forward as it downshifted
    .

If I remember correctly, your thread was asking if you should buy a 2018?

After lots of push back, you posted about test driving a 2019, and how much better it was. The thread was kind of off the rails by then.

Glad it all worked out for you.

It all worked out - I got a 2019 OR 4v4 DC in Quicksand. Here is a pic with a 314k 4 Runner in the background. It definitely does have an odd power curve at times but I'm loving the truck so far. When you drive it "like a granny" nothing feels out of the ordinary, it only comes in at specific conditions which you learn to control.

650 miles, already did an oil change, detailed it (didnt let the dealer touch her) put in a oil catch and fluid filmed it - used 6 cans but I figured out I needed more to get in all the rubber plug spots so ordered more. I appreciate this forum, a lot of helpful folks.

36k on mine in 3 years, averages about 21mpg but I've upsized the tires, sliders and 2 inch lift.

You 3rd genners sleep in late or something?

Let's go with the unadulterated, nonsensical, overtly random, generally misinformed, angry shit posting fuck fest that has reliability been the turd gen forum for the last 3 plus years. o_O

    Lets go people :annoyed:

I wish I could but the damn thing just keeps being reliable.

It even sat for 6 weeks in my driveway unattended during my last work trip. When I got home all I did was get in, pressed the button and it started right up. Drove it straight to the carwash.

No dead battery, stuck rear drums, no window kazoo, no TPMS alerts, no diff whine, no radio rebooting and the truck transmission remembered my driving style.

    :notsure:

Now I'm really worried because if it didnt happen then I'm sure all of it's about to happen.

    :goingcrazy:
