Doesn't leave you with much space, the reason they work as overland vehicles is the interior height and interior width, you remove the height with a "bed" and you basically trade a body that fits well for a bed that has a worse departure angle. You put an aftermarket bumper on an 80 LC and they have the best departure of any Toyota, with a flat bed I think you'd sorta ruin that. Here's the one I ordered for the cruiser...



Also the company that designed this bumper has the most beautiful cruiser...

 

The difference is that was actually offered haha vs something someone hacked up on the 80

I dunno about serious. You only have to cut a little bit of the frame for that bumper to fit

Yeah I have some stuff planned for it. A lot of it makes sense because the LC has some 25 year old parts that just need a refresh so it'll get some lift parts mixed in with that. And it's still like new cosmetically so I'm sorta obligated to armor it up before I make a lot of use of it. It'll be the first vehicle I clear bra parts of haha.

Shits expensive if you still have good paint though. Only my flares and the front of the hood need a bra.

 

Lots of work too, probably the better things I’ve done. I’ve had multiple people that do the same type of stuff I do tell me they need to get it done.


But if your paints still pretty there’s no reason to beeline it all.

My cruiser was repainted with OEM paint back in 2017 so it hasn't really had to time to get fucked up yet. Needs a good buff though. I still have the tougher rocker paint too that you can't really chip, Thanks Toyota.

They’re all exactly the same. I used a panel clip from my 1998 5-Lug door panel on my friend’s 2015 Nissan 370Z door panel.

 

Looks like RG213 if it’s rated for communications/radio.

RG59 is what my camera system uses. It’s Analog over BNC connectors. I hate crimping coaxial so much, so I’m converting my cameras to use CAT5 with signal and power via PoE, or Power over Ethernet. Working with CAT5 is like 100x easier than that Coaxial crap.

I hate coaxial in general. So damn rigid and unforgiving.

 

Yeah I saw. I bought one of those 100 packs off Amazon because I go through them so much.

 

Yea, if you could stop talking in a foreign language that’d be neat.


I decided I’m gonna steal another antenna for my friend, he’ll get this one fixed right sometime.
