I'm sure it will be a great truck, but I can't get over how stupid the front looks. It makes the whole thing like like an Escape with a bed.

I thought they were going to Americanize the front end? Or am I just imagining that?

Until the block cracks.....or until it de-rates at 55 degrees.

    It’s kinda a 2.3 eco boost thing.

I paid less in Canadian dollars for my 2016 TRD off road, no way I'd pay 51,000 dollars (after exchange) for a 2WD Ford.

Admittedly I know nothing about the 2.3 EB's track record. Good power/torque is nothing without reliability. The 2.7 is no powerhouse. But you can't argue it's proven bulletproof'ness over the years

I’ve posted some links on the Ranger Maggot Thread.

The 2.3 has had issues in both the Mustang and the Focus RS. Cracked blocks and issues with it de-rating under ideal atmospheric conditions.

The 10 speed was co-developed with GM taking the lead. It’s also been a shit show.

Won’t matter...the “I don’t really need a truck so I want it to be like a car” crowd will flock to the Ranger. It’s features, comfort and amenities will be the hook. It will sell like cheap penicillin at a biker orgy.

Ive seen them running around thailand for 3 years. It is called a wildtrak.

3.2 diesel it is outselling the toyota. Best looking truck on the market IMHO.

Im keeping my truck but i would love to have a wildtrak. $50k us and no way to finance it, i can't pay cash but i looove my Toyota tiger images (3).jpg images (4).jpg

The XLT with FX4 is roughly the TRD Off road equivalent and they are about the same price. You can't compare prices accross the border as Canada get much better pricing than USA when you factor in exchange. They are on Ford.ca to build so you can check.

Come summer and employee pricing the Rangers will be much cheaper than Tacomas with the 5-6 grand in discounts at least.

I already sold a 2018 Wrangler with Stop/Start. Absolutely hated it. I don't want a micro engine with a turbo either. Ford will sell a lot of Rangers but I'll keep my new Tacoma.

I don't think this Ranger will outsell the Tacoma. It's a few years old already this design apparently. I think the new model built just for the NA market would be a lot more interesting.

If they had the raptor ranger out here, i'd buy it in a heartbeat - even at $50-55k range.
