I went to the dealership I bought my truck from today to get a non chip key made that would just unlock the doors.

They had a decked out Tacoma right by the front door, just for the hell of it I checked the sticker price. Just damn.....

Everyone needs nitrogen in the tires and LED puddle illumination.

The Feds house of cards is currently crashing back down to earth, but hey money is still cheap.

Can I interest you in a $60k Tesla Model 3 that looks similar to a Mazda 3. It's only 3 times the price, but will certainly generate the oh and aw at Chili's on a Friday night.

And every time someone posts sticker prices like this I say the same thing. P.T. Barnum said it best " There is a sucker born every minute." Some sap will go in there and get rooked into buying it thinking he has some ultimate Tacoma, NOT.

Damn near double what I ended up paying for mine, but it is a lowly SR5 V6 4x4. Probably had polluted air in the tires too.

A perfect example of the phrase a fool and his money are soon departed. We all do it though but on different scales. Bottled water for $1.50 or free tap water?

“Hey man, just paid $399 for tinted windows and $99 for air. Not to mention, because I overpaid by $10k now they’ll give me a free rental for only a $249.99 one time fee. (For repairs over $500.)” truly a sucker is born every minute.

Where is the regulatory board on vehicle prices?...oh never mind they paid off the politicians. Cars should be sold directly to buyers from the factory.

Has anyone here bought a Tacoma with a market value adjustment? Is there anything exclusive or rare about a Tacoma configuration that would justify a market adjustment?

One salesman told me that there wasn’t much discounting since Tacoma’s are so popular. At which point I looked at him sideways and said that there are about 8 Toyota dealers that I can get to in under 45 minutes, I’m sure one of them will work with me.

Nitrogen filled tires, show me the nitrogen tank and prove to me you deflated the tires and refilled with nitrogen
Accent stripe, pull that shit off, I didn't ask for that
Window tint, I just got a quote from a local guy, good reviews, 60 bucks for the front windows to match the rear
3M door edge protection, probably no more than 50 bucks material and a half hour labor
Rental car coverage, Ummm, warranty work includes a rental, and if its not warranty work I probably will not use the dealer anyway
Market value adjustment, so 10,000 dollars just to say I own a PRO, no thanks, I will walk
3m paint protection, probably about half that cost is actual

    $1.9k of baloney add ons.

Do the sales staff there wear Zorro or Lone Ranger masks to hide their identity and pose as 'good guys'?

Sad thing is that no dealer would even attempt this if there were not an abundance of stupid wandering around.

That’s why I do full research on everything before I buy... doesn’t matter if it’s a $50 replacement household item or a $500K house. That dealership needs some intervention... or at lease a Florida State Attorney investigation (I’m certain there is some illegality going on there). No way would I even go to that dealer for service, I’m sure the whole dealership is affected by this type of low moral leadership and ripoff practice.
