You can't seriously think they will be that much...Go to Ford.ca and see for yourself.

    Lariat 4x4 is $42,289 Canadian

TRD OR Double Cab is $42,505 Canadian

The Ranger will only compete with the Colorado and F-150, that's all it's aiming for.

Why do you think that Ford is making a vehicle aimed to compete with it's best seller?

At that age I would have probably even left the TRD Off Road stickers on my truck. Joking, joking. Don't roast me.

Where I live I see a crap ton of older rangers still roaming around, I dont think it's crazy to think they are going to sell a bunch of these things. I dont think they will outsell the taco but they might make Toyota sweat a little bit, and to be honest that's a good thing. Companies tend to get lazy when they are on top.

Largely due to lack of competition - until now.

You can build a Ranger XL 4x4 with the FX4 package (with trail control), tow package, block heater, and bed package. With that the price comes out to around the $36,000 range which is not bad at all.

Although the XL is the cheapest, bare bones route, you still get a decent amount of options for a decent price. That's how I'm going.

Yes, but in a couple of years. I'm waiting until they work out any bugs in the beginning.

I test drove one at a local auto show last month. I loved the way it drove. It had that low end torque. It had transmission that worked so well with the engine, it was hard to tell it was shifting. It also had seat height adjustment and good back seat room.

Plus the shell of the Ranger is from overseas which was proven to taken on the Hilux.

That and the test drive completely sold me.

My last two ford trucks sucked.. and I'm talking low mileage, call a tow truck, cause you're broke down as fuck, suck.

I wouldn't touch one of these thing with a ten foot pole.. even if didn't look like shit, which it does..

Sounds nice. I do like the hp and torque figures (slightly less hp but quite a bit more torque at lower rpm), but from what I have read there seems to be problems with same engine from focus rs and the mustang. I guess that comes with the territory though when you have turbos. Wondering what is going to end up happening in the tacoma in the next refresh.
