Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

They each have there issues. I love the extra engine sound from mine when a get on it.

Spotted:
Some dude in an MGM with stuff on his truck and stuff under his truck on 24 near the tunnel. We threw each other the universal “V” for Vag Lovers United sign as I rolled by in the family hauler Lexus, on my way to pick up my father in law at the airport.

Nice truck dude.

 

My dads favorite line when I was a kid growing up in Sac, "Hey, close the damn door when you're going in or out. We're not supporting SMUD in this house!"

 

I thought snorkels were more about breathing above desert dust than going underwater...

 

What EV did you get?

 

Also I have a stupid question, but I'm not home and can't measure my Prinsu, does anyone know the length of space between cross bars? As in, not the length of the cross bars, I know that, but how much gap space is between each crossbar? I'm trying to come up with a fancy over-though mounting for my solar panel.

 

Can’t you just move them?

That is true, so it's not really that important, but they have a sort of standard position too.

 

Ouch, did it already come with carpool stickers or are you waiting for the new year to get the new dank-purple ones? I'm waiting for the new ones, but I have to cross the bay bridge enough that it's been hard waiting.

 

Haven’t needed the stickers since I carpool anyway. If anything I’ll get the new ones for next year

 

There is no set pattern. It's whatever works for you. I had one cross bar left over when I finished.

 

My buddy has a CNG powered car. Due to new regs he is losing his sticker. He's not a happy camper. He has a bit of money in the vehicle and now California has a lot of people using the special BS lanes so they are pulling them from certain cars. At commute hours those car pool / EV lanes are jammed. I just laugh as I blow past all of them on my internal combustion powered motorcycle.

 

I know they can be rearranged however, but on mine there are a set of somewhat standard positions which I just happen to have it in for now, and I was curious to find out the spacing for that. You can see what I'm talking about pretty clearly in this pic:

 

Hey guys if anyone needs some SPC UCA 2nd-3rd gen I got you there is a for sale thread in the third gen marketplace. Cheaper for NorCal guys.

Yep. Same on mine. But you can use the longer slots, too. It's just not going to be one hole, one bolt. I just decided that the ones I mounted (just like you did) were enough.

 

Basically I'm thinking of a way to mount my solar panel with a gas spring for tilting it up, but the length of the gas spring could depend on how I arrange the crossbars. I'll probably end up rearranging them anyway though.

 

Gettin all fancy chasing down the radiation.
