Oh you gotta be the first. I don't see many people doing that, usually it's the reverse.

The only, he's gotta have some form of brain damage that distorts image processing in his cerebral cortex. Only reason he would come and comment in this thread

Despite being able to receive satellite TV from the other hemisphere they still throw less light than a $8 sealed beam

Yeah I'll give you that one, stock light output is trash.

Hell, my retrofit light output is still trash. Maybe I'll do the 01-04 conversion along with my Land Cruiser grill...

How does your retro not work better? Wouldn't be any difference between the 98 and the 01 as as far as retros are concerned.

Actually, it was purely from a financial aspect.

I already had a '98 donor truck. along the way I found out that rebuilding the fronts of the '04 would be much more difficult with the way the hood is seamed to the front plastic and grill. I'm laze and cheap.

It's better, I just don't like the light output it has. Not an amazing improvement. To be fair, I used the cheapest HID's TRS had in stock, and the adjustment gear on the passenger headlight is stripped.

Pulling the DS apron and CS. I swapped them out with the '98 donor truck. Lots of spot welds needed to be drilled out.

Go the truck cheap. The air bag kicked the driver's ass. It was covered in blood. Hence the BIO markings on the truck.

Oh, okay, makes sense. I can't retro the cruiser or the Z. The Z would just look stupid with retros but they don't make a non glass headlight for it. The cruiser I think would just look dumb with them and the plastic aftermarket lights are getting rare and the OEM glass won't work. I think they usually end up looking pretty awful on halogen buckets anyway though. The 01-04 taco is one of the only exceptions to that rule.

Plastics Guy shipped me some new bump stops today to replace the first version of his that I bought since one of them split in two. Good customer service, these new ones are supposed to have a better compound I guess. Though I'm gonna have to figure out how to get the one I JB welded onto the driver's side LCA off. I suspect I just need to get it real hot and whack it with a hammer

    It's just blood.

Get a girlfriend and it'll bother you even less.

I tried getting interior parts from a 4Runner covered in vomit and blood. Never saw that Biohazard sticker. 3/10 would not do again.
