    I had two '66's and a '67 but I'd like to see the ass end of that car for me to tell for sure...

    Yes. I'm positive. The overall shape is really different than a '67, but if you want to talk easily visible details, the surfboard hood and four headlights makes it a '69.

    Cold air, ethanol free gas, and more timing advance can make a noticeable difference. Octane is part of that.

    Not the '67 I recall.... Tail lights were curved in like a banana. Ass end wasn't stretched out like that either.
