Thanks so much for your support dude. It was a pleasure building them for you and a pleasure to meet you. Stoked that we got your truck armored up so you can start challenging the truck a bit more!!

Hey guys, long time lurker but first post. I installed RSG bolt on rock sliders today. RSG is a local Denver shop where they only (mainly) work on tacomas and 4runners. I walked in just to chat about the next upgrade I should make and the consensus was slider first, underside armor and then a front bumber. I already have Bilstein 6112s and some 285s which is great. I've also got a light bar, new headlights (thanks hail damage) and a few odds and ends. I originally wanted bolt on raw sliders with no top plate due to cost. I planned on painting them. Well I was talking to the owner and he said he had one last pair of 2nd gen tacoma sliders with the tops plate and powder coated. Sold them to me for the price of the raw non-top plates! I managed to make it a one man job and got crafty with some jack stands. The only issue is that they are only held on with 5 bolts. Its a single plate and no "C" or "L" channel to hug the frame. They swear by them but in the midst of the excitement of a good deal and a holiday bonus I said screw it. Hopefully the hold up. Its a great shop and they have worked on my truck and consulted me on DIY jobs. Let me know if you have any RSG slider reviews

Velcroed a cheapo Harbor Freight light above my windoor. Surprisingly effective.

That is one sexy camper shell! I've got a plywood shelf in mine with 4"high-density foam from Joan Fabric as a mattress where I sleep diagonally in my short bed in the mountains. Rooftop tents got nothin on me!

Is the idea to ride around with it mounted there? What type of weapon? Curious about the intent/purpose.

I replaced one map light with LED just because. The difference between the factory bulb and LED is significant. Second LEd now on the way for map light #2!

Also going to throw 2 oz of Lubeguard anti shutter in tranny just because. Not shuttering what the heck, can’t hurt anything.

Got some new suspension put on yesterday. The ride is soo much better! Got the hd Dakar’s because I’m planning on having more weight in the back soon so she’s a little high in the back.

I went to a winter track-day in the truck, was hoping for more snow.

Just cleaned my throttle body. It was my first time doing it. I want to thank the people on this forum who take the time to do the write ups. Makes things so much easier!

New cable from battery to starter. The military terminal will give me room for another cable that will go to a busbar at the back of the truck

What did you do about the metal piece that comes off the positive side?

The original cable is disconnected at both ends (battery and starter), but it’s still wrapped up in the split loom. I think I’m going to just cut the exposed end on both sides and leave the rest tucked insiythe loom.

I always admire the Toyota's and Lexus's outside of RSG when I drive by! That GX470 on 37's is beautiful!
