What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I noticed a lot of these companies going down in quality lately. I ordered a ditch light bracket from CBI and it didn’t come with the required new hardware, or any instructions. Also took them a week to actually ship it.

 

I ordered on 12/4 and paid $18 shipping...... why is it taking so long

 

Oh for this time of the year I’m totally not surprised. Just influx of orders during the holidays. It’s expected.

That is a long delay though.

 

It just sucks. There’s grease everywhere and I’d like to replace it the right way, instead I’m gonna be forced to put my trail spare in with its old boots then when they show up replace them on both extra CVs and take the one I replaced back out and swap it.

Watch your door too. Package theft is rampant this time of year. I had my nice CoverKing seat covers stolen off my porch about a year ago by some guy in a stolen Audi Q7 from the local Mannheim.

 

That’s the thing I don’t have a tracking number, and I’ve reached out a few times to get one.

 

Those are rad! I’ll be adding them to my recovery box!

Yes. I’ve also never had any issues with stolen packages. And I order a shit ton of stuff from Amazon haha too much shit

 

For years I’ve had crap shipped to my house, could be hundreds of things at this point. Then I had that package stolen. There’s a first time for everything.

I ship all my stuff to a mailroom now, don’t have to worry about it.

 

That's a cool idea but that's assuming I spot the busted CV boot right away...usually I notice it after a day or so and it's already collected a bunch of dirt. Might be good to put those on preemptively though...maybe just keep them on all the time Lol

 

Put that welder to work! Make it yourself.

 

Not a perfect solution but could be a huge help in a bind. Like you said tho, you have to catch it early. If you are in the middle of a multi-day trip and don't have a spare, this could save your ass even if you don't catch it for a couple days.

I've rolled through Bridger a few times, surprised I missed a flame painted first gen. 2nd gen OR wheels look good on there

 

Thanks. I got the wheels from my dad when he installed a 3" lift on his 2015. took me this long to get tires and get them installed.

 

Any of you guys have the part numbers for the two front diff mounting bolts, washers, and nuts?

I’m deleting my diff drop and my OEM bolts have pretty jacked up threads. Thanks in advance!
