Jimmy, awesome product, all hooked up works like a charm. I'm in the house sitting on the couch starting my truck -stopping my truck watching it on the camera, awesome! Thanks again.

 

If anyone with a manual is on the fence about getting this, get it! Seriously, it’s so nice to come out to a warm truck with defrosted windows every morning!

Not to mention, I’m the only one in the world with a 3rd gen manual plug n play. Not even the biggest companies care about you guys like I did hahaha...ok bring it in, group hug. Even you too @PsiBlast. It’s all love here, one way or another, if anyone chose and went with me and my product, if you tough out any hiccups with me, you won’t regret it. I won’t leave you hanging. No Tacoma left behind. That’s a solid promise!

The customer dictates to me what makes them happy, and I’ll do it. Within reason of course. Example of what’s not within reason: I asked Santa for a Lambo last night at a holiday party, even sat on his grimey lap (was looking for a toilet seat cover but couldn’t find one), this is the 13th year and a new generation later since, he has yet to deliver. Why? It’s unreasonable to think a lambo will fit down the chimney. Duh. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you! I wrapped up all outbounds that could be shipped last night. Some of you will see deliveries on the 24th. Some the 26th. I tried. The rest are sitting right for my back order to fill and SHIPS immediately. Any order that comes through without a smart module goes out immediately.

 

Damn UPS. Tracking said it was going to arrive Monday so I started my vacation a day early. It arrived in my damn mailbox when I was two hundred miles away. Looks like I don’t get to install until January.

 

How I’m spending my Christmas weekend. They call me the Remote Start Santa. You guys are relentless. Two trips tonight to the warehouse.

Installed the bulk of the kit on Friday afternoon but, could not get the truck to start. I have a 6 spd manual. I gave up as it was getting dark and I was getting frustrated. I gave Jimmy a text and he replied to give him a call the next day. It's Saturday and I was at work so, I had to make sure I was ready to make the call by checking the issues that could be suspect in the no start. They were the clutch cancel and the fuse for the module. The clutch cancel was corrected and the fuse was okay. I called Jimmy expecting that since it was a Saturday, he may not answer but, he did. Jimmy was very polite and patient. He walked me through a confirmation process to see if everything was lighting up on the module correctly and confirming that I took the right steps for the confirmation mode. We did this a few times and it worked as advertised! I was impressed! Jimmy also took the time to explain the 3x lock to shut down the engine. This is best mod I've made to my truck so far. I recommend this mod! Thank you Jimmy!

***Update***

Added Smart Module programming videos for both remote start module models that have an "EA" in it or "EO". THEY ARE DIFFERENT, CHOSE THE CORRECT ONE. IF THE REMOTE START MODULE IN YOUR POSESSION DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE ONE IN THE VIDEO, STOP, YOU'RE WATCHING THE WRONG VIDEO. GO BACK AND CLICK ON THE CORRECT ONE!

FOR PEOPLE WITH THE "EO" N2 Designs remote starter (HKEY AT/MT Tacomas amongst other makes/models I've sold), you may have to hit the door unlock several times (as seen in the video) to neutralize the remote starter so that the smart module can be sync'd and programmed successfully. This is true when you don't see any red blinking small LED (tiny pencil tip sized LED under the short 1" yellow loop coming out of your REMOTE STARTER module - NOT ONE OF THE LEDs ON TOP OF THE REMOTE STARTER) during the respective step in which you're looking for it to blink.

 

I reached out to Jimmy already but is anyone else with the smart module having any of the following issues? Curious if its just me or if others are having the same issue.

1) GPS fails to update
2) Battery voltage is always 14.4 volts
3) Starter timer never updates

I replied to all emails and PM's and haven't received a call if you did email or PM me, my personal cell was in the response. Either way, PM me your cell. We'll fix it.

 

Did you set your protocol to fortin? Most likely it’s ADS and the fortin cannot communicate back with that protocol.

 

Are you the guy that put in stand-alone mode for protocol? I replied to that...

Yep its set to Fortin, I did remove power to the unit after setting it so now im wondering if I may have killed it in the middle of it being configured?

Never remove power during set up. Easy fix, change the protocol to ADS, let it reboot and then set to Fortin again.

 

You're not bothering me. What bothers me is anything less than perfection on a Sunday! I'll get you fired up and ready once I'm off the phone with the current customer!

 

And if it's HKEY, tap the unlock button a few times before starting programming on your FOB to neutralize the remote starter. Then follow the programming instructions. I'll call you soon.
