When I went to buy one, I told the sales dude I wanted a dark gray access cab with AC, AT, V6, and 4x4. They got me a SR5 from Jax, not sure what the difference is between the SR and SR5.

Pretty basic.

Had 3 dealers near me with identical TRD Sport AC M/T, all black from the same batch. Talked them all into trying to get my business, ended up walking a $36k truck out the door for $31k and change.

SR has the utility package option, deletes rear seats, larger storage, no sliding back glass, front bumper replaced with plastic beard.

SR5 nets you an appearance package, fancy wheels, sliding rear glass, factory window tint, and a better trip computer featuring real time fuel economy, as well as color matched bumpers and fog lights.

TBH, Toyota could merge these two trims and make the utility thing part of the SR5 lineup. They'd overcharge for it though...

EDIT: the SR5 also comes standard with INTERMITTENT WIPERS so there's that little tidbit

Bought my SR (2018) used about 2 months ago. Came with towing (utility?) package, it has rear seats, sliding back glass, real time fuel economy in the display, and they put new tires on new 17” fancy rims (see pic). Posted this pic in another thread but don’t have too many pics so....
did the intermittent mod (was easy and very inexpensive), fogs next.

Was originally thinking of getting an SR5 but not sure what else it has.

 

Original question I was responding to was in regard to access cabs I thought. Looks like your double cab V6 is already halfway to being an SR5. nice sport wheels though, probably take offs from someone who wanted OR or PRO wheels.

 

The reason I’m not a salesperson for Toyota is because they wouldn’t hire me. The second reason is because I would be telling every single person not to pay 48k for a truck. That’s like 10 houses here in Detroit!

 

They should be honest and just advertise it as +22% nitrogen. Since atmospheric nitrogen is about 78%.

Would a bank even finance one for that much more than it’s worth? I have seen deals fall through because people were a little upside down on a trade but with the two listed trucks you would be in a deep hole with either the 10k or the 24k market adjustment. Really make me love my 34k Off-Road that much more.

 

That will make some people look at the Gladiator or other trucks, a 2nd hand Raptor with low miles.

 

For sure, if i was spending 60k, i love my tacoma but i wouldnt have bought it for that price. Gladiator probably for sure

 

They would not finance a vehicle for more than it is worth. You would have to make up the difference.

 

You could also use this just in case KY is not enough
