I used the 8mm to start it and was able to turn it easily with my fingers. Still good?
I started with the Phillips and just went with the socket and the just finished with fingertips.
Just don’t want ay surprises on way home tonight
    Thanks

New fork mount arrived, modified, and installed.

Ive been letting the rear wheel just ride on the toolbox but, I will be going a bit further tomorrow. Havent had the nox that long, and I am not trying to drill into it.

Im thinking ill jusg rig some 550 and make a set of stays to keep the wheel from swinging and bouncing for now. I dont see this setup being in in use come spring....

Anyway.... gonna run it for now... but, some pics... in case anyone has a quick idea....

Otherwise, out for some family time....20181223_130709.jpg 20181223_130717.jpg

All the bike pictures makes me want to get into mountain biking again. I have a heavy (steel frame) low-end Giant that I bought when I was in high school, but at this point I'd have to put money into it to seriously use it again. Needs pedals, hand grips, and tires are starting to dry rot. Used to do a couple thousand miles a year...17 year old me could do 70 mile rides up and over mountains no problem.

I keep thinking about buying something in the $500-$750 range, just nice enough to have disc brakes and decent components. Then I'm not burning a ton of money if I don't get back into it.

@js312 that's what I did when I snagged my Marlin. And I'm hooked again. Ended up with my new one, because I was looking at upgrades (dropper post, and a couple up other things). Overall, still happy with it, but, I am also turning 39 in a couple weeks, and when I hammer on the bike, I get hammered on as well.

The Marlin 6 is a great value for the money.

Wife doesn't mind.. it's cheaper than collecting motorcycles again... so she thinks... LOL.

A few years ago I was leaning toward a Raleigh, but I can't remember what one specifically and now I don't see one I like as much.

The Marlins look nice--looks like the Marlin 5 is pretty close to the 6...still has hydraulic discs and everything. Main difference I see is one more speed on the back sprocket on the 6 and slightly nicer derailleur and suspension.

    Lol, i know...

Yeah, forgot about the new line. New frames, internal cables, and it looks like theyre dropper ready as well.

For hahas.... Dicks has those GT aggressor Pros for 400.. but, I dont know if I would personally.

Either way, Im back to what I weighed, well, under anyway, when I was at my peak fitness. And I am trying like hell to keep moving, get fitter, blah blah. I got a second chance, and I am determined not to blow it.

I never gain weight, which is almost a bad thing because I don't see any signs of my laziness.

I still have a good pace hiking, but I am pretty exhausted when I'm done. 18-year-old me would have been able to cut another hour off my time and barely been tired doing it. I think a lot of the difference is how much biking I did then--helps a lot with stamina.

    I know nothing.

    Bikes are cheaper than meth.

That may not be true. They are healthier than meth.

I guess that's true as long as you keep the rubber side down and stay off the roads.

When I had my bikes on the plywood cover, I would run a line from side to side on the bed and wrap the wheel/tire on the way. I’d keep some tension on the line with a bungee. The line (paracord or maybe something similar/softer) wrapped around the wheel and tire keeps it from bouncing and sliding side to side.

Pretty much what i had in mind, sans bungee.
    Itll work for tomorrow.
Currently back and forth with voodoo, RE measurements on his racks, and seeing whag I can make to clear my roll-up..

    Speaking of which.....

    @m603holden
Max, have a chance to get me a measurement from top of the bedrail, to the top of your prinsu yet?

I know your shifts are crazy.... but, just a reminder.

Have a solution to make the most out of the functionality of the truck.....

On another note, while the vibration is better... i need to try out a road force... and if that doesnt help... these AT3Ws are getting replaced with DuraTracs

When I was at the dealer the other day the service manager said that the AT3W's were still having issues even after the redesign. He has had to switch out 3 sets he said. Mine have been good since I got rid of the old set that was bad, but I don't think I am going to grab another set when these run out. Probably go back to Toyo AT2's or whatever the newer model is at that point. I really liked my toyo tires in the past even though they are a little more expensive.

It's really too bad, I like the tire now that they seem to be working out, but I agree, not worth your kid getting sick over and they quality control seems to be an issue.
