You can run your Trade-ins through True Car or Kelley Bluebook to see what you should get. I brought a copy of the True Car trade-in quote & they agreed to it after trying to low ball me.

Also those buying in CA with a trade may want to buy in AZ. AZ will tax you on the price after deducting your trade value, where CA will tax on the original sales price. This could save you $500 to $1500 in sales tax depending on the value of your trade. Just make sure your truck has the 50 state emissions. And I don't claim to be an expert in this, so you may want to check with the DMV first.

Sound like you guys are getting some good deals.

They WILL low ball you on their first offer. They even have a "dealer's KBB" that has lower values than the "real KBB" you probably accessed that they will show you to back up their offer as a reasonable one.

I recently had a dealer offer me 13000 and as i laughed and walked out the door they offered another 3500$ on top of their original offer.. i said ‘i prefer not to do business with you guys thanks’ pretty sure it was a staged act. What a bunch of crooks

Very much so by region for factory rebates...

Montana is only offering the military and college graduate rebates, not even the $500 cash back here.

Sounds close to my deal on Friday. I got $37219 for my 19 Cement Tech and Prem OR DCSB 4WD ($41k MSRP) and financed at 2.9% for 60 months with TFS. Nice work!

$35500 for a TRD OR 4WD with Tech and Premium? That would be a killer deal and way below invoice.

Sounds about right if it doesnt have the premium package too, if you got tech and premium that was a really good deal. And 4.9% is not a bad rate given the rate increase that will continue as fed's are pushing rates higher and more aggressively, people just got so used to 0% rates for so long, wouldn't sweat it.

Yea sounds fishy.. but who knows?? I have a deal pending at 500$ below invoice.

    39k sticker
    36.6k invoice
    36.1 sell price
-500 dollar rebate after taxes and trade
    No dealer fee
    150 tags

Yep, I was below invoice at $37219 for mine and dealers don't need to make crazy deals to sell these trucks just seems too good to be true. But who knows. Good for him if that's a legit deal.

For tech and premium on a TRD Off Road? Hell of a deal. What dealer is this, I would travel for a deal like that.

True!! but I’m all but hurt!! I couldn’t get a deal like that and i saw a fleet manager who gave me $1,000 below invoice but a crazy 820$ ‘document fee’ and 450$ dealer fee which negated any discount she gave off invoice

Tweeters are straight up plug and play and the others aren’t that bad. If you order the door speakers from Crutchfield, you get the speaker mounts and speaker to factory wiring harness included in the price. Took maybe two hours total and I’m slow as hell!

An unbelievable deal. $5720 off MSRP is close to 14% discount. Not impossible but certainly a stellar deal.

...^^^... Seeing all of that cash reminds me of something.

I live part time in USA and part time in Thailand with my wife and daughter.

Last trip to Thailand we traded her 6 y/o Civic on a new Honda Jazz (Honda Fit in USA) and it was unusual how it worked.

Instead of trading her car in, the Honda dealer had a broker come in and buy it because they kept no used cars there and it was a giant Honda dealer in a small town.
Then on delivery day the broker buying her old Civic brings cash, and we take cash, and everybody sits around a table drinking cokes, coffee eating snacks and switching cash back and forth. It was really unusual.

The small amount that was financed is done in another office after all the cash is traded.

Very low stress and everybody is super polite too. Oh, and the Honda dealer takes many photos with you and your new Honda with flowers all around you.

The salesman spent two hours going over every control on the car which made me nuts. And then they call you almost every day for a week making sure the car is OK.

FWIW, We bought a new washer and dryer at an appliance store and we got the same kind of service. The salesman came with the delivery guys and showed us how to use every button on the new washer and dryer.

I told my Thai wife that when she moves to the USA in the next 18 months, don’t expect that kind of good service. The sales people in the USA are mostly greedy, manipulating savages. Lol

2012 TRD sport prerunner 80k.. deal is still pending awaiting delivery of 19’ OR. Here in FL you only get taxed on the difference. (Another 1,000 in taxes) Plus new tags are approx 450$. So to privately sell I’d have to get better than 18k or to make it worth it. KBB says fair purchase is 19k- Trade In- 14.8k-16k

That seems like a fair trade value. I got 19,000 for my 2012 PreRunner in Jan 2018 but it only had 30,000~ on the OD. I bought it 2012 for about 27,000.

So I just traded in my 2017 dc sb sr5 blazing blue with 3800 miles. For a 19’ Trd OR manual. They gave me exactly what I owed which was around 29k I ended up paying around 35k total for the 19
