But I do understand why people complain — Bureaucracy, cost, and hassle sucks.

But alternatives — car fires, smog, and crazy Mad Max roadway chaos — are worse.

It's a way of fleecing more money from the tax herd.

I'd ask you to come back to unless you like rejection stickers. My hard top has a 3rd brake light, maybe you should get one so you are fully DOT compliant. A state trooper can cite you for not having a visable and working third brake light.

Florida's problems have nothing to do with freedom, more like demographics.

True. Things aren’t too bad here. You get a mechanical inspection when you first buy the car — then that’s it, other than an easy $15 emissions inspection every 2 or so years. Pretty reasonable, I think. I’m all for clean, breathable air.

I don't understand the thought process myself.

The safety inspection in va isn’t a big deal. It’s not tied to your registration in anyway, meaning if you fail inspection, you still can register your car. If you manage to get a ticket for a failed inspection, it’s a whopping $70 and no points on your license as far as I know.

I strongly agree. He should call the CEO directly and inform them of their misdoings. His truck is all OEM parts they should be able to figure it out.
