Ditto,this is the first vehicle that I have ever owned that is paid off. I also have close to 10k in mods and at 55yo I hope this is the last vehicle I ever by.

 

I actually have no issues with the trans since 0058. I wouldn't mind just the tune for a little more low end power and keep or increase the mpg a little would be nice. Mat will come through but should at least take time to enjoy Xmas eve and Xmas with family and friends.

 

Funny, how I got attacked by the whole forum for saying something similar.

The factory engine and transmission tunes were horrible. As manual owner, I am pleased with the results of the TSB tune. The engine feels almost normal now. However, I can't imagine how auto owners must feel having a crap transmission algorithm on top of the garbage engine programing.

 

I’ve felt the same way about Toyota reading TW posts in this thread. Couldn’t agree more sir. Wonder if anybody on here knows someone from corporate...?

 

I think many owners dont realize how bad the tune really is... but we also own a 2016 4runner and it runs like a champ... so I have a valid comparison. Not one single complaint about that truck.

 

There are many loud voices on the forum that say nothing was wrong with the stock tune, and those who complain either don't understand trucks, don't understand physics, or don't have a grasp of automotive technology.

Which group is Toyota Corporate going to listen to?

 

I have the AT and 1.05 made my truck kickass. .

Trail riding I can literally fly. Mat has done an amazing job and the few people with links in their unique trucks will get it all sorted out.

I don’t know about you, but wouldn’t it be cool if we all had one hell of a tailgate BBQ party together?

 

I need the OVtune. I haven't bought it. I am just waiting until I get the title for my truck, and I unquestionably own it outright.

 

Why’s that holding you back?

 

I just don't want to have a loan against my car if I am modifying it. Just doesn't feel right to me.

I don’t see how that changes anything. Especially when you can go back to stock by a few clicks of your mouse.

I feel like every extra dollar I have should go towards paying off my loan. I feel guilty spending it on mods.
