^ Yeah I figured we would do a little shooting as well. Everyone can bring there own food. I think that I still have the box of pigeons that you brought the last time that ended up in my truck so Ill bring those as well. Hopefully the weather cools down a little bit. B/C the last time I went down it was almost too hot to be down there. If its that hot again Ill probably end up jumping in the pond.

Is anyone else going to bring there dogs? I'm debating on bringing mine so they can run and swim.

I haven't ridden a bike in probably 7 years, even though I have a nice Cannodale collecting dust in my parents basement. I dont really know anyone who rides anymore like we used to. That would be pretty cool, to come down the big hill, hit a ramp, then go for a swim! Do it!

Depending on how many people come, I'll probably bring my dogs.

I have a quick question for yall. This weekend Im going to be pulling our Jet Ski with my Taco 06 DC Prerunner for the first time. Do you think I'll have any issues pulling out? I'll be at Lake Cumberland Grider Hill Dock. Boat ramps there are pretty steep. I'm thinking low gear with locker engaged to be on the safe side. What do you think?

I'm jealouse, Cumberland is awesome. Your will not have any problems. If I can pull this out of the water in 4x2, your not going to have any problem w/ your locker pulling out the jet ski.

Cool, I just wanted to be sure.

Are you having any issues with your dog and the heat? I know a few other Pitt owners that had to put theirs down because of heat stroke. My pitt can't be outside longer than a few minutes till he starts breathing hard.

Really? My pit hasn't had any trouble. She's in the A/C all day while I'm at work. But a couple of weeks ago I had her down the farm when it was hot and she was running and swimming all day. She will pant alot but nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. She does lay infront of the fan and sticks her face next to the mesh after she comes inside. Kinda makes me a little nervouse now. Does yours just pant and breath really hard?

Yea, soon as he comes in he flops on the floor and rolls back and forth. Thinks he rolls because the floor is cold (hardwood). He breaths pretty hard for a good half hour before he returns to normal, depending on how long or how hard he played outside. We also have started to give him ice cubes, it seems to cool him off alittle quicker.

All that sounds similiar to mine. She come in, flops down on the hardwood floor infront of the fan, and pants. She doesn't breath hard or anything, just pants for a while. She loves ice cubes, everytime she hears the ice dispensor she runs in and waits for one to drop. Ill have to keep an eye on her in the heat. Is this common for pits?

Not for sure, but I think it might be. On days like today we have to make him go outside. He hates the heat, unless he has a creek he can swim around in.

No prob. I do know that because of the loyalty of a Pitt, that they will try to please/protect their owner even if its at the expense of their life.

They are great dogs, just have a bad rep. She has more personality than any other dog I have ever had.

I'm all ready to go for the weekend. Bringing my fishing poles again just in case. I'm actually supposed to be going to cumberland this weekend, but decided to go to the meet instead. My grandparents have a house on the lake down there so we go down quite a bit. I'd bring my pup down, but we just got her back from doggy bootcamp, so she's still adjusting. She's half pit, and half something else, maybe greate dane, greyhound, or lab, haha, we can't really figure it out. I'll post a picture of her when I get home.

Sounds good, looking forward to the meet. My buddy is coming down to go fish as well. He got 3 good size bass out of the pond a couple of weeks ago. If no one else brings there dogs, I probably wont bring mine, especially after reading the posting above.

I'd say she will be good to go around the pond as long as she can get in a do some swimming. Like I said mine is fine as long as he can jump in the creek/ lake and swim alittle to cool off. He does'nt like to creek too much anymore though, two days ago he got up close and personal with a water snake.
